Ami Brabson, like her late husband, is an actress. The couple co-starred and met while starring in the television series, Homicide: Life on the Street.

Ami has appeared in a number of television series including Law & Order, Bull, Power, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and The Jury.

Her website states she is a singer and producer as well.

She has also starred in stage shows such as The Settler and Fences.

She received her Masters of Fine Arts from New York University’s Tisch Graduate School of Acting.

Ami and Andre had three sons. The couple were married for more than 30 years.

He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Stanford University. He went on to receive his Masters of Fine Arts from the Juilliard School in New York City.

He started his career in Hollywood by starring in television films before getting a starring role on Homicide: Life on the Street. He played Detective Frank Pembleton on the series from 1993 until 1998.

Meanwhile, he starred in a number of hit films including Glory, Primal Fear, City of Angels Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, The Mist, Superman/Batman: Apocalypse and She Said.

However, Andre is beloved by fans for his portrayal of Captain Raymond Holt on the hit NBC series, Brooklyn Nine-Nine. The show also starred Andy Samberg and Terry Crews.

The series followed a NYPD detectives and their work. Andre played the boss of the other detectives. The series ended in 2021.

Since the series ended, Andre went on to play Ri’Chard Lane in The Good Fight and was slated to star in the upcoming Netflix series, The Residence.

What was Andre Braugher’s cause of death?

Andre passed away from a brief illness on Monday, December 11, 2023. He was 61.

Further details about the illness were not immediately available. His representative, Jennifer Allen, confirmed his death.

He is survived by his wife and three sons; Michael, Isaiah and John Wesley.
