Chris Brown said attacking Rihanna was the deepest regret of his life. The rapper added, “That night was the deepest regret of my life, the biggest mistake. But she loves me – what can I say? I’m forgiven… but, yes, I worked hard for it.”
Rapper Chris Brown says attacking singer Rihanna is the deepest regret of his life. The 23-year-old physically assaulted Rihanna in 2009 but the two are now back together and he has vowed never to hurt her again, reports mirror.co.uk.
“Sometimes you row, you fight, with the one you love and things get said, stuff spirals,” said Brown, who was sentenced to five years’ probation and six months’ community service.
“That night was the deepest regret of my life, the biggest mistake. But she loves me – what can I say? I’m forgiven… but, yes, I worked hard for it,” he added.
The singer of “Don’t Wake Me Up” also expresses that he has undergone significant personal growth since the incident. “I’ve gained a lot of insight since that night, and I’ve matured. I was quite young and I didn’t fully grasp many things, including fame. I took it for granted. The encouragement from those who truly know me, as well as the amazing support from my fans, helped me navigate through it,” he stated.
Rihanna on why she took Chris back

The 25-year-old singer has stepped up to support Brown, who faced charges of assaulting her following a pre-Grammy’s party in 2009, stating that their relationship has evolved since then.
