Kanye West and Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs have been strengthening their relationship since October 2022. Diddy reached out directly to Kanye to express his concerns about the shirts, sparking an argument over text messages. However, on Thursday, the rapper, along with his twin daughters Jessie and D’Lila, recorded Ye and Ty Dolla $ign’s controversial set at Rolling Loud in Los Angeles, indicating a potential reconciliation between the two.

Regarding the controversy surrounding Ye’s Vulture’s first set, it stemmed from the fact that neither Kanye nor Ty Dolla $ign performed vocally during the performance; instead, they played songs from the album. Diddy also attended the event with his son Justin, who participated in the show. However, it remains unclear whether the two men exchanged words at the festival or if Diddy’s presence signifies a symbolic truce in their feud.

In a 2022 interview on The Breakfast Club, Diddy referred to Kanye’s highly controversial White Lives Matter T-shirts as “tone deaf.” Kanye, displeased with Diddy’s stance, engaged in a highly publicized argument with him via text message. Allegedly, Kanye texted, “I’m selling these T-shirts. No one comes between me and my money. This is my grandfather texting you right now. Don’t ever call me without bulls like that again unless you’re ready to give me the green light. Because everyone who stepped on that T-shirt is me.”

Things escalated when Ye texted, “Out of respect for everything you’ve meant to me, I’ll be quiet like Virgil. But now I know how I hurt people I love with threats.” In a subsequent message, Kanye taunted his friend: “Come on, do something illegal to me, noooooow pleeeeeeease.” He then posted a screenshot of these lyrics on his Instagram page, accompanied by the caption: “God is love. My brother made a mistake against me, but I still love him.”

Diddy contacted Kanye directly and shared his concerns about the shirts, which sparked an argument over texting, which prompted Ye to fight with him over texting.

This isn’t the first time Ye has disappointed a festival audience. When he played Bonnaroo in 2008, his set started nearly two hours late with shouts of “Kanye sucks” that still resonate with fans of the Tennessee-based festival.

Finally, Diddy responded, “As soon as I land, we’ll meet face to face!!! Send me an address.” Diddy tried to reason with Kanye, who also insisted his friend was “Jew-sent” and a “FED.” “I’m just trying to talk to you like a black man,” Diddy pleaded. “And I’m talking to you because this is hurting our people. Stop.”

Undeterred, Kanye responded, “Anything you text, I will post.” “I love you. And you break my heart. I accept your apology in advance.”
