The most exciting drama to keep up with. Kim Kardashian‘s relationship with Kourtney Kardashian hasn’t always been smooth sailing.
The Kardashian-Jenner clan, including Kris Jenner, Caitlyn Jenner, Khloé Kardashian, Rob Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, Kylie Jenner, and Kourtney and Kim Kardashian, skyrocketed to fame with the debut of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” in 2007. This reality series provided an intimate look into their lives, showcasing their triumphs and tribulations both in their personal relationships and professional endeavors.
While the show portrayed the collective experiences of the family, Kim Kardashian has often been credited as a driving force behind their widespread success. In a 2016 interview with Editorialist magazine, Kim humorously debunked the notion of her mother Kris Jenner being the sole orchestrator of their careers, asserting her own role in guiding her siblings’ paths. However, Kourtney Kardashian playfully teased her sister’s self-assuredness during a memorable moment in the season 17 finale of “KUWTK” in December 2019. Dressed up as Kim for a family costume party, Kourtney jokingly claimed credit for initiating the family’s rise to fame, tongue-in-cheekly challenging Kim’s narrative.
The playful moment came one year after one of the siblings’ biggest arguments to date. During season 15, Kim and Kourtney clashed over scheduling for a family photo shoot as Kourtney prioritized spending time with her children. “I’m leaving at 4 p.m. and I don’t care what anyone says,” Kourtney told Kim and Kris in the 2018 episode, to which the Selfish author fired back, “Get the f–k out of here, and go! No one wants you in the shoot.”
The feud between Kim and Kourtney Kardashian reached a boiling point during a heated exchange captured on “Keeping Up With the Kardashians.” Kim’s frustration with Kourtney’s perceived lack of business acumen led to a verbal altercation in which Kim criticized Kourtney’s contribution to the family’s empire, famously remarking, “She’s the least exciting to look at.”
Their disagreement over work ethic persisted over the years, with Kourtney contemplating leaving the reality TV spotlight altogether. Matters escalated in 2020 when their feud turned physical, prompting their brother Rob to draw comparisons to the confrontational reality show “Bad Girls Club” on Twitter.
Following the conclusion of “KUWTK” and the family’s transition to Hulu, Kourtney reflected on her relationship with Kim, acknowledging the intensity of their conflicts. She emphasized the importance of maintaining personal boundaries and protecting her energy, expressing a desire to distance herself from family drama.
Although their tensions appeared to subside, new conflicts arose during the third season of “The Kardashians.” A teaser for the show hinted at renewed discord between Kim and Kourtney, particularly regarding their differing allegiances to Dolce & Gabbana, suggesting that their family dynamic remains complex and occasionally contentious.
The Kourtney and Khloé Take Miami alum, meanwhile, claimed: “There’s no boundaries, there’s no respect.”
In a dramatic voiceover, Khloé appeared to remark on the family drama, saying, “The tension is brewing. How did we get here?”

“You’re a very distraught, evil human being,” Kourtney told her sister over the phone. “I don’t wanna see you, OK? I don’t agree with who you are as a human being.”

Kourtney Kardashian reciprocated after Kim dismissed several of her outfit suggestions for Kim’s 40th birthday celebration. In retaliation, Kourtney facetimed her sister during a fitting session with the Thierry Mugler team in preparation for her appearance at the 2019 Met Gala. This playful tit-for-tat exchange showcased the sisters’ ongoing banter and sibling dynamics, adding a touch of humor to their relationship.
“Is it October the 31st?” Kourtney quipped when she spotted Kim in a blue spandex dress and sparkly wig.

As they continued to feud over work ethic — and as Kourtney considered quitting KUWTK completely — the twosome came to physical blows on camera. “I swear to God, I’ll punch you in your face,” Kim told her sister, who replied, “So do it.”
Khloé attempted to separate the duo — but not before Kourtney dug her nails into Kim’s arm. “How f–king old are you?” Kim asked amid the fight.
