Plus, why she’d never get a BBL.

Rihanna bares it all in a revealing and deeply personal Interview magazine profile with the publication’s editor-in-chief, who also happens to be her former stylist. Alongside insights into her relationship with A$AP Rocky and her thoughts on expanding her family, the Fenty Beauty mogul delves into her views on plastic surgery in the interview published on April 9.

The mother of two admits to being open to a particular “fantasy” cosmetic procedure while drawing a clear line at another treatment that she unequivocally rejects.

While chatting with Mel Ottenburg, Rihanna – who welcomed her second son RZA in August 2023 – shared that she would love to get a breast lift done at some point. “I want my titties pinned back to my shoulders, right where they used to be,” she said, adding, “I don’t want implants. I just want a lift.” However, the “Don’t Stop The Music” singer admitted she hadn’t done too much research on the procedure and was “scared of the knife.”

Rihanna shared her perspective on another popular procedure, initially dismissing the idea of a Brazilian butt lift (BBL) with a humorous remark. “I can, like, squat and get an ass, hopefully,” she joked to Ottenberg. However, when further questioned about it, she laughed and suggested a playful scenario of both her and Ottenberg undergoing the procedure together, highlighting the need for someone else to care for them during the recovery process.

Before switching gears to talk about internet fame, RiRi doubled down on her answers, telling her former stylist, “My whole tits and BBL fantasy is on the record.”

Rihanna expressed openness to considering certain treatments, but she also revealed her stance on one popular post-partum procedure that she would avoid. “I don’t want to ever have a tummy tuck because I don’t want a new navel, and I don’t want that scar,” she candidly shared with Ottenberg.

The French manicure has been the queen bee mani of the red carpet for much of the past year. While the white-tipped nail design never really goes away, it’s been spotted on countless celebrity fingers as of late — including Rihanna’s. But in true Rihanna fashion, she added her own personal touch to the classic nail design, taking the humble French to the next dimension with a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it layer of shiny chrome powder.

The enduring popularity of the French manicure lies in its simplicity and versatility, making it suitable for any outfit or occasion. Rihanna showcased her own take on this classic style with her “golden glow French” manicure at the launch of Fenty Beauty’s Soft’Lit Naturally Luminous Longwear Foundation, which promises a radiant glow akin to the golden hour. Manicurist Kim Truong expertly shaped Rihanna’s nails into her preferred square shape before applying a bright, bold white tip. However, upon closer inspection, one can notice the subtle addition of shimmery, molten gold chrome powder dusted atop the base, adding a touch of sophistication and modernity to this timeless look. This fusion of the reigning manicure trend of the 2000s with the contemporary trends of the 2020s perfectly captures Rihanna’s innovative and trendsetting style.

Rihanna stuck to the golden theme with the rest of her look, including her yellow strapless Alexander McQueen dress and honey-blonde hair, though she told Allure she’s already over the shade.. “I get bored. I get bored, and I need to move on to something, or I’m going to crawl out of my body,” she shared. “Cut it. I don’t care. It’s hair. It’ll grow back. Bleach it, whatever. Just do something.”

Rihanna’s blonde era may be winding down, but the French manicure certainly isn’t going anywhere. Selena Gomez wore a super chunky tip for her “Love On” music video, and Beyoncé was super loyal to her turquoise-studded “Texan French” pre-Cowboy Carter release. Gabrielle Union added a touch of gray to hers, while Elizabeth Gillies and Ariana Grande gave their French manis a sparkly Showgirls spin on Halloween. There are so many ways to customize the classic nail look, but I’ll be copying Rihanna at my next appointment for sure.
