Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs slams federal agents raiding his homes: ‘Gross overuse of military-level force’

An attorney for the embattled hip-hop mogul said his client “is innocent and will continue to fight every single day to clear his name.”

Sean “Diddy” Combs is speaking out a day after federal agents raided his homes in Los Angeles in Miami.

In a statement provided on Tuesday, Aaron Dyer, an attorney for the embattled hip-hop mogul, slammed the searches as an “excessive show of force” and maintained his client’s innocence.

Dyer remarked, “Yesterday, the use of military-level force during the execution of search warrants at Mr. Combs’ residences was excessive. There is no justification for the aggressive display of force and hostility demonstrated by the authorities, nor for the treatment of his children and employees. While Mr. Combs was not detained, he did engage with and assist the authorities. Contrary to media speculation, neither Mr. Combs nor any of his family members have been arrested, nor has their freedom of movement been limited in any manner.”

Dyer further commented, “This unprecedented ambush, coupled with a highly organized media presence, fosters a premature rush to judgment against Mr. Combs and amounts to nothing more than a witch hunt fueled by baseless accusations in civil lawsuits. There has been no determination of criminal or civil liability regarding any of these claims. Mr. Combs maintains his innocence and remains steadfast in his determination to vindicate himself each day.”

On Monday, Homeland Security Investigations told EW that HSI New York “executed law enforcement actions as part of an ongoing investigation, with assistance from HSI Los Angeles, HSI Miami, and our local law enforcement partners” and pledged to “provide further information as it becomes available.”

Citing two unspecified law enforcement officials, the Associated Press reported that the searches were carried out as part of an ongoing sex trafficking investigation by by federal authorities.

The raids came in the wake of multiple of lawsuits accusing Combs, 54, of rαpє, sєх trafficking, and other abuses. R&B singer Cassie first sued Combs in November, accusing him of sexual assault and years of physical abuse and controlling behavior; the two parties settled the suit a day later.

Several more accusers have since sued Combs, who has consistently denied the allegations.
