J.Lo can’t get enough of these baggy pants.

Oversized baggy pants and a button-up cardigan is pretty much the quintessential uniform of Gen Z, and Jennifer Lopez just took the trend out for a spin over the weekend. The multi-hyphenate, however, did put a millennial twist on the look: the trousers were belted and high-waisted.

On Sunday, Lopez was spotted grabbing some lunch in West Hollywood in the sand-colored, paper-bag slacks and a beige cardigan with a V-neckline and bell sleeves. The singer went a more classic route with her accessories with oversized circular sunnies, silver hoops, and a mini Himalayan Hermès Birkin. Ivory-colored sandals peeked out from under the floor-grazing slacks.

Lopez’s caramel-colored hair was blown out to perfection and styled in a middle part with curtain bangs.

Lopez has been a fan of the baggy pant lately. Just last week, the star was spotted in super capacious jeans with oversized pockets, which she styled with a turtleneck sweater, white sneakers, and her go-to oversized sunglasses.

The very next day, Lopez was seen wearing more generously roomy denim. The jeans were distressed and made to look muddy, and she styled them with khaki-colored R-13 platform boots, a tan sweater, and a massive black Birkin. Once again her signature shades and hoops combo completed the ensemble.

Lopez is a fashion icon, so naturally, the performer is gearing up to co-chair the 2024 Met Gala next week (on the first Monday in May). While speaking with Vogue earlier this month, Lopez said it is an “honor” to be a part of fashion’s biggest night.

“When Anna [Wintour] calls you and asks you to co-host the Met Gala along with her, it’s kinda the biggest night in fashion, and to raise money for the museum, it was a real honor,” she said. “It’s a nice thing to be a part of.”

When it comes to her look for the big night, Lopez herself hasn’t even fully decided yet. This year’s theme, however, is “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion,” so, Internet, do with that as you will.

“I have a few different sketches. I’m still deciding. I’m also one of those people who chooses at the last minute,” she explained. “Like, I like choices, and then I go, ‘Okay, this is how I feel today,’ and then we try to kinda create some type of amazing look—because that is the night for looks!”

Jennifer Lopez looked like a Grecian goddess last night, slipping into an intricately ruched and draped Monique Lhuillier gown for an event that celebrated her roots as a Latina. The superstar triple-threat wore a tan gown that included a dramatic cape trimmed with a shimmering crystal choker. The gown’s corset bodice featured delicate pleats, and the long, floor-skimming skirt included a dramatic slit that went all the way up her leg. Lopez showed off the gown on Instagram, including a close-up look at her Suzanne Kalan jewelry and deep side-parted caramel hair.

Lopez also tagged her glam squad in the post, including her longtime makeup artist, Scott Barnes, and her stylists, Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn. Lopez’s glam included her signature bronzed skin, a sultry smoky eye, and a light, rosy lip gloss.

Jennifer Lopez was honored with the Premio Orgullo award, which recognized her “unwavering advocacy for Latino causes,” according to Evoke. In her acceptance speech, she called the award “humbling,” saying, “Thank you. It celebrates bringing pride to our community — that is a very humbling premise for me. Thank you so much, it’s not only a tremendous honor, but also a responsibility that I don’t take lightly.”

According to its official website, the Hispanic Federation is a nonprofit membership and advocacy organization that dates back to 1990. Its mission includes “empowering and advancing the Hispanic community, with a focus on low-income, marginalized, and immigrant Latinos.”

While last night’s major fashion moment may be one of her best, Lopez is set to co-chair this year’s Met Gala — and she still doesn’t have an outfit, according to Hola. In a video posted to Vogue’s Instagram account, Lopez is surrounded by different mannequins and says, “I have a few different sketches. I’m still deciding. I’m also one of those people who chooses at the last minute.” This year, Lopez’s fellow co-chairs include Bad Bunny, Chris Hemsworth, and Zendaya.
