SHAKIRA is dating British actor Lucien Laviscount after he played the love interest in her latest music video, it has been reported.

Lucien, 31, appeared alongside Shakira, 47, in the video for her single Punteria with rumours quickly swirling that they were more than just co-stars.

Insiders have disclosed that the duo is now romantically involved, but friends express concerns that Lucien, known for his role in “Emily in Paris,” might be pursuing the relationship for the sake of fame.

According to a source cited by the Daily Mail, Shakira is eager to find love, yet her circle of friends worries about Lucien’s motives. They note that Lucien has gradually climbed the celebrity ranks while dating women less famous than Shakira. There’s a fear among her friends that he might be seeking recognition, with Shakira serving as a means to that end. While they acknowledge that Shakira and Lucien are seeing each other, their involvement is not yet deeply committed.

In a recent steamy video, the “Hips Don’t Lie” songstress is depicted rubbing blood off Lucien’s bare chest after shooting him with an arrow. The scene further shows her sensually running her hand up his leg as he covers his modesty with a piece of cloth.

Although Shakira and Lucien were seen dining together shortly after the video’s release, insiders remain apprehensive that Shakira may still be grappling with feelings for her ex-husband, Gerard Pique.

Marriage split

After being together for 11 years, singer Shakira and footballer Gerard, aged 37, ended their relationship in June 2022. They are parents to sons Sasha, aged nine, and Mila, aged 11.

Amid reports of Gerard’s alleged infidelity, Shakira released a statement to her fans, expressing their decision to part ways. She emphasized their commitment to prioritizing the well-being of their children and requested privacy regarding the matter.

Reports suggested that Shakira suspected Gerard of cheating after discovering an empty jam jar in their fridge.
