Rihanna Featured Plus-Size Male Models For Savage X Fenty & Men Finally Feel Represented

With unattainable and narrow beauty standards having been shoved down everyone’s throats for years and years, things are slowly but surely changing for the better.

Gradually, the body positivity movement is taking over and every body type being represented and this is the change everyone had been waiting for. And, that’s why Rihanna’s lingerie company, Savage x Fenty’s new collection is extremely important.

While it’s great to see plus-size female models getting represented more and more over the last few years, there was still a shortage of plus-size male bodies being represented. But, the new Savage x Fenty made sure to showcase every different kind of body type and earned everyone’s respect for bringing upon some much-needed change.

This is definitely a win for all of us common people because let’s be real, no one actually looks like the models on the websites. It’s heartwarming to see every body type being normalized in mainstream media.

Before anyone comes back with the ‘it’s unhealthy’ rebuttal, please stop and think about how literally everyone deserves the respect while just existing. No one can comment on anyone’s health by just looking at them, what we can do is not be disrespectful to people who are not doing anything to you personally.

And, if someone just existing triggers you, then you should reflect on how an unrealistic body type has been normalized for everyone, regardless of how healthy or not that is.

As expected, people were totally here for the inclusivity and applauded Rihanna and the company for being diverse and body positive.

And, all the women are so supportive while it’s not reciprocated.
it took a woman to promote body positivity for men https://t.co/OsxoAquGzr

It’s a great step.
A few years ago I began noticing a lot of positive comments about women’s stretch marks not being photoshopped in modeling photos because so many people felt represented by that.

This is my first time seeing the same with men, and I wonder how it’s received by men.

See everyone? This is why it’s so important.
NGL. I needed this. It’s a major confidence boost. I basically look like this now and I was feeling so unattractive and bad about myself.

This is so wholesome.
Never in my adult life have I seen a male model that has a similar body to mine. I feel… almost emotional? Like I finally can buy something I saw and want and KNOW it was made for people like me in mind

— Cody Jacob (@codyjacobmusic) October 2, 2020
Hmm.
This man is shaped like me and I love it https://t.co/9QixWMyN6t

Emotional stuff.
I want these boxers, I also now want to be a Fenty model. Idk how to explain it but this has helped my self esteem and put me in a good mood ? https://t.co/KGIyY9lxxR

All the men feeling confident after this is everything.
I wanna thank @rihanna for really boosting my confidence. Essentially I’m built similar to this model fo her clothing model, but as a dude you never see shirtless big dudes model for clothes! Thank you so much https://t.co/6t0QkAPBDE

And, there are hundreds of replies like this.
Rihanna lowkey boosted my body confidence by having a dude built like me model her clothing. https://t.co/jIjdnVXyYv

— MARYLAND MANSON (@BreezyxSupreme) October 3, 2020
Oh, definitely.
Okay but this is huge. The fact they casted a plus size guy and didn’t try to fine tune his stretch marks is amazing. Fenty is representing real bodies and turning imperfections into perfections. Representation is literally everything. We have no choice but to stan. https://t.co/HRtsr0rGBv

— Bray Tell (@Itsbrajohn_) October 3, 2020
For sure.
i have so much respect for rihanna. she has always been one of my idols and not only did she show diversity for woman but men. we don’t talk about male diversity enough and i fucking love that she includes everyone. it is a beautiful thing she is promoting ? https://t.co/S7Ox4ktcIc

This made me tear up a bit, i’ve always admired the amount of support plus size women get yet it has always made me feel extra lonely because men just don’t have the same sense of community, finally big boi season come thru xx https://t.co/rIEe3dLWiS

— David McIntyre (@DMcIntyre1998) October 3, 2020
Interesting.
notice the positivity in the replies from men and women, and not a soul talking about health… its just interesting to me https://t.co/sbWmfybpg0
