Rihanna affair rumours rock Beyonce’s world

It’s now been claimed that Jay Z and Beyonce split for a year over rumours of an affair with Rihanna.

In an explosive new book that is set for release later this month, it’s claimed that the couple, who married in 2008, split up around the same time that Rihanna launched her debut single, Pon De Replay.

The rumours were allegedly started by publicists to put RiRi on the map and boost her profile, but Beyonce was not impressed and allegedly “wasn’t sure what to make of the situation”, the new book by J Randy Taraborrelli claims.

Of the alleged split, he said: “Beyoncé didn’t know what to make of this, and it actually ended up breaking them up for a time.”

The couple began dating after meeting in 2001 at a 9/11 benefit concert, but during her 2002 Destiny’s Child world tour, Beyonce was on the brink of going back to her ex. Picking him over Jay Z.

In the new book by celeb journalist Taraborrelli, Beyonce reportedly continued to talk to her ex Lyndall Locke, even though her new boyfriend put his foot down.

Her ex said: “At one point she said, ‘I hate to tell you this, but Jay doesn’t want me speaking to you’.

“She talked to me anyway behind his back, and was just more discreet about it. I was too.”
