On Sunday, the Cavs beat the Warriors to win the NBA Championship—the first major sports championship that a Cleveland team has won since 1964. Of course, LeBron James—who was a beast in the playoffs—was named the MVP. LeBron fans celebrated. Cavs fans celebrated. But, wait—so did Rihanna. 

A very proud Rihanna congratulated LeBron, aka her “bae,” via a series of Instagram posts following the team’s win. Twitter had a field day. Gossip blogs ran stories about a possible relationship between the two. It’s unlikely that the latter is true, but one thing’s for sure: Rihanna is a King James fan.

This past May, she wrote his number on her stomach with sunscreen. Some called it the perfect thirst trap. Let’s not forget she also name dropped him in “Bitch Better Have My Money.”

But Rihanna was a devoted fan long before all that. According to our deep search on Getty, Rihanna’s been attending LeBron’s games since 2006. Here she is pictured at Madison Square Garden, where the New York Knicks played against LeBron’s Miami Heat.

Over the years, she continued to sit courtside at other Heat games. According to our research, her attendance might’ve actually made the players nervous and affected their play.

It’s a good thing that LeBron James goes on a social media blackout before the start of each post-season… because Rihanna just set the thirst trap of all thirst traps for the NBA superstar.

At midnight Thursday, music’s undisputed Bad Gal posted a bikini-clad image of herself with “23” — LeBron’s number — written in sunblock on her stomach on her Instagram account. RiRi even went as far as to tag King James on the post, which caption simply read, “mood.”

Umm… LeBron’s wife, Savannah, might not want to see this.

RiRi has attended many of James’s games through the years… but this kind of adulation takes the cake, cake, cake, cake.

Desperado, indeed.

King James needs to keep steering clear of social media. His Cleveland Cavaliers are undefeated through these playoffs at 10-0 after Thursday night’s smackdown of the Toronto Raptors.
