Jay-Z Did Not Get Arrested in the Sean Combs Raids — but 50 Cent Wants You to Think He Was

“Anybody seen Jay, LOL? Puff said the [ninja emoji] ain’t answering his phone. LOL,” 50 Cent said.

50 Cent has established himself as one of the most skilled trolls not just in rap, but in all of music and the internet as a whole. His ability to back up his trolling with actions, like buying up Ja Rule tickets to mock his rival, sets him apart. However, his recent Instagram post targeting Jay-Z amidst Diddy’s personal struggles showcases his prowess in social media trolling.

In the post, 50 Cent used Instagram in its truest form, delivering a well-timed troll aimed at Jay-Z during a challenging time for Sean Combs (Diddy). This latest move further solidifies 50 Cent’s reputation as the ultimate troll, demonstrating his knack for seizing moments and stirring up controversy in the online world.

Did Jay-Z get arrested in the raid of Diddy’s house?

Sean Combs is definitely in trouble. However, while Puff Daddy’s/Diddy’s/Sean Combs’s situation takes more dire turns, Jay-Z is not involved with the feds raids — at least that we know of. The reason for the confusion comes in the form of an Instagram post from 50 Cent implying that Jay-Z was somehow roped into the current legal situation.

Maybe 50 knows something we don’t?

The caption reads, “Anybody seen Jay? … Puff said the [ninja emoji] ain’t answering his phone. LOL.” As we can see from the LOLs, it seems that 50 is joking.

Once again, Jay-Z is not connected to the Diddy investigations. The performers have appeared together multiple times over the decades, but so have 50 and Jay, as well as 50 and Diddy. This stirring of the pot is just what 50 does. And he’s very good at it.

Jay-Z does have an arrest record.

Jay-Z was sentenced to three years of probation for the stabbing incident involving record producer Lance ‘Un’ Rivera on December 2, 1999, at the Kit Kat Klub in Times Square. To avoid the possibility of a 15-year prison sentence, Jay-Z pleaded guilty to third-degree assault.

However, in May 2023, Rivera came forward claiming that Jay-Z was not the individual who stabbed him. Rivera emphasized Jay-Z’s character, describing him as a nice guy, an artist, a poet, and gifted. Rivera expressed doubt about the allegations, stating, “If Jay-Z had stabbed me, y’all wouldn’t have got The Black Album, because through my whole history, I’m an eye-for-an-eye type of guy.”

Rivera’s statement casts doubt on the previous narrative surrounding the incident and highlights the complexities of the situation.

Despite collaborating with R. Kelly for years, which resulted in two successful albums and large arena tours, Jay-Z managed to steer clear of R. Kelly’s legal issues. The albums “The Best of Both Worlds” (2002) and “Unfinished Business” (2004) both achieved high chart positions, reaching number 2 and number 1, respectively.

Unlike Diddy, who is currently facing legal troubles, Jay-Z has not been implicated in any ongoing raids or investigations as of the time of writing. However, 50 Cent continues to relentlessly troll Diddy on Instagram. Since his initial post featuring a “missing” milk carton with Diddy’s face, 50 Cent has shared six more photos and videos on his main Instagram grid, ensuring that his jokes and jabs at Diddy’s expense remain prominently displayed for all to see.
