Sydney Sweeney is shrugging off Hollywood producer Carol Baum’s comments about her appearance.

Sydney Sweeney’s Instagram posts from her Mexico getaway have drawn attention, particularly her choice of attire and the messages on her clothing. The actress wore a gray sweater with the words “Sorry for having great t—” written on it, sparking reactions and discussions among her followers. Additionally, Sweeney shared pictures of herself posing with her dog on a boat and enjoying the beach with a mariachi band in the background, showcasing moments of relaxation and fun during her vacation.

Sweeney, who is on the trip with friends, also posted multiple snaps of Polaroid pictures from the vacation, as well as another adorable pic of Tank and more fun times with pals. “Good times and tan lines,” the Madame Web star captioned her latest post.

Sweeney’s post came after producer Baum sparked controversy last week by commenting on her looks and acting abilities.

Baum’s comments about Sydney Sweeney and the film “Anyone But You” have stirred controversy, particularly given their dismissive tone toward both the actress and the movie. While Baum’s remarks reflect her personal opinion, they have sparked debate about the appropriateness of such critiques, especially when made in public forums. Critics argue that such comments can be harmful and disrespectful to the individuals and projects being discussed, while others defend Baum’s right to express her views openly.

University of Southern California adjunct professor Baum added that she’d spoken to her class about Sweeney. “I said to my class, ‘Explain this girl to me. She’s not pretty, she can’t act. Why is she so hot?’ Nobody had an answer,” Baum, whose credits include Father of the Bride and Buffy the Vampire Slayer, said.

Baum’s comments reflect the difficult decisions that often arise in the entertainment industry, where getting a film made can require compromises and strategic choices. While acknowledging the desire to see projects come to fruition, Baum’s remarks highlight the ethical considerations that filmmakers may face when navigating collaborations and industry dynamics.

Baum has since voiced her regret over the comments, telling TMZ that she doesn’t usually speak about an actor like that. Meanwhile, a representative for Sweeney said in a statement, “How sad that a woman in the position to share her expertise and experience chooses instead to attack another woman.”

“If that’s what she’s learned in her decades in the industry and feels is appropriate to teach to her students, that’s shameful,” they added. “To unjustly disparage a fellow female producer speaks volumes about Ms. Baum’s character.”

Sydney Sweeney is not a coffee drinker.

“I’ve never tried coffee before. I just drink water,” the Immaculate star, 26, told the Wall Street Journal. She added that for breakfast her go-to is “a berry bowl. Maybe some granola, bacon, a croissant, but I always go to berries.”

The discussion arose when WSJ asked Sweeney about her ability to function on just two hours of sleep per night. She responded, “I sleep however many hours I get in a night, but I’m known for being able to function off of very, very little for a very long amount of time.”

Sweeney also mentioned that her dog Tank is her wake-up call every morning.

“I usually wake up around 7:30. First I hug my dog, Tank, and we cuddle,” she explained. “Then I’ll go and wash my face, brush my teeth and get ready to jump-start the day.”

Sydney Sweeney, known for her role in “Euphoria,” opened up about her eating habits and how her childhood influenced her food preferences. She shared insights into her relationship with food and drink, offering a glimpse into how her upbringing shapes her tastes today. Additionally, Sweeney’s comments come amid anticipation for the third season of “Euphoria,” which has faced delays.

“When I was little I loved Shirley Temples, and I loved Sprite and my parents kept being like, ‘It’s all you drink, it’s all you drink. You need to drink water,’” the Bai partner said at the time. “And I think that they made a comment, they were like, ‘You couldn’t drink water for a week.’ And I was like, ‘Yeah, I can watch me.’ And then I kept doing it.”

Sydney Sweeney acknowledged her fondness for sweets, describing herself as having a sweet tooth. To counterbalance her love for candy and desserts, she emphasized the importance of staying hydrated by drinking water. Sweeney views water intake as a way to maintain a healthy balance alongside her indulgence in sweets.

Sydney Sweeney expressed gratitude for her younger self’s habit of staying hydrated by drinking water. She acknowledged the benefits of water for skin health and overall well-being, recognizing it as a positive practice she adopted early on. Sweeney appreciates the impact this habit has had on her health and skincare routine as she has gotten older.
