“TOO MUCH PLASTIC SURGERY” and standing next to an open fire would be “VERY DANGEROUS”:Jimmy Carr’s changing face after tragic surgeries-HO

HE famously joked about being unable to be cremated due to having had “too much plastic surgery” and that standing next to a naked flame would be “very dangerous”.

There’s no denying Jimmy Carr’s appearance has drastically changed from his younger years and the Channel 4 comedian has often been the first to admit it.

The 51-year-old, whose new Netflix comedy special Jimmy Carr: Natural Born Killer was released today, has previously confessed to having had a hair transplant, veneers and Botox injections.

He said “very little” of his original face still exists due to extensive cosmetic work and spoke about having “gone a bit crazy” during lockdown – admitting it was “a proper midlife crisis”.

Last month, the 8 Out Of 10 Cats host revealed the one cosmetic procedure his surgeon refused to perform – despite claiming a hit singer previously underwent the op.

On the Happy Hallow Jeans podcast, Jimmy recalled: “I’d asked him about buccal fat reduction, one of the guys from One Direction had it done, I think it’s Liam [Payne].

“I’m sure you can get a picture up, but they take out the fat there [points to the sides of his mouth] so, you go from having, I mean I’ve always had chubby little cheeks.

“It doesn’t matter how much weight I lose. I could be 50kg and I would still have chubby cheeks. But they take out the fat from here [pointing to his cheeks] so that you look chiselled and model-y (sic).”

Jimmy shared that his plastic surgeon expressed reluctance towards certain procedures, citing concerns about patients looking worse in their fifties and frequently requesting reversals. He found amusement in the fact that the medical professional would often respond with a firm “nope, we’re not doing that” upon hearing his suggestions.

However, despite these reservations, Jimmy’s appearance has undergone significant changes since his early days on TV in the early Noughties. He openly acknowledges having undergone numerous procedures, stating that he’s had “everything done.”

In this piece, we explore the evolution of Jimmy’s facial appearance over the years as he actively pursued methods to combat the aging process.

Botox

Amar Suchde, the founder of AMS Aesthetics, revealed to The Sun in 2021 that a significant aspect of Jimmy’s transformation can be attributed to weight loss. Comparing older photos from the Nineties, during which he had long hair, to those from the early Noughties, it’s evident that the comedian has shed pounds over the years.

The comedian credited intermittent fasting for his weight loss journey. Additionally, Amar mentioned that the wrinkles resulting from shedding pounds prompted Jimmy to turn to Botox for assistance.

He said: “Jimmy has clearly lost a lot of weight over the years.”

Amar added that he believes the comic has regular Botox treatment on his forehead to remove some of his lines to make him look more fresh.

He added: “There still seems to be some movement which may indicate a smaller dosage such as that used in Baby Botox.”

Speaking on the subject of Botox, Jimmy quipped his face was “like Trigger’s broom from Only Fools and Horses, very little of the original is still there”.

Hair transplant

Jimmy humorously described his decision to undergo a hair transplant procedure, expressing concern that he was starting to resemble a “snooker-playing vampire.” He elaborated on the procedure, quipping, “So what happened was my hair was socially distancing from my forehead and I’d had enough of it.”
He’s done really well to maintain the character of his face

“I shaved my head and what they do is take hairs from the back of your head and they put them on the front.

“Basically I had enough hair, it was just in the wrong place. It was a bit of redistribution.”

In a blog post, Harley Street Hair Clinic verified that Jimmy underwent Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) for his hair transplant procedure. They highlighted that with FUE, full hair growth typically occurs within approximately 12 months following treatment.

The clinic also pointed out the strategic timing of Jimmy’s decision to undergo the procedure during lockdown. This allowed him to recover away from the public eye for a few months before revealing his transformed appearance.

Under-eye fillers and laser treatments

Amar previously told us Jimmy wears a considerable amount of make-up on set and in shoots, but it’s believed he’s had under-eye fillers to slow the signs of ageing.

He added that he may well have also had fillers in his cheeks to replace any facial fat lost during his weight loss journey.

“Increasing amounts of men are seeking masculinisation aesthetic treatments; focusing particularly on the jawline, to give it more width and make it more aligned and Jimmy may well have had this treatment,” he explained.

“His skin looks fantastic and I suspect he’s had a number of laser skin resurfacing treatments to give it that youthful  glow.

“It also looks like he may have had skin tightening treatments and under eye fillers.”

Amar said he believes Jimmy has done really well to “maintain the character” of his face and not take aesthetic treatments too far.

“Rather, he’s just kept up with little tweakments to maintain a fresh look as he is in the spotlight,” he said.

Maintaining is the thing, I don’t think there’s anything you can do plastic surgery wise, or augmentation wise, that makes you look better. You can just sort of stay the same, that’s what you can hope for.

Jimmy Carr

In 2021, the specialist reckoned the work Jimmy would have cost in the region of £1,000 to £3,000.

Bright white teeth

Harley Street dentist Dr. Anjum Jahan believes that Jimmy has effectively tackled aging through some strategic dental work. She suggests that the comedian likely underwent Chairside Teeth Whitening, a light-activated whitening procedure, which typically costs between £500-800.

Dr. Jahan commented in 2021, “This is the most likely option as his teeth are a bright white.”

Additionally, Jimmy may have chosen to enhance his smile further with veneers, which involve placing a layer of material over each tooth to protect them from damage and improve their appearance.

Veneers

She said: “It is very difficult to tell whether the veneers are made from composite or porcelain.

“If they are composite, then the price can range between £250-£500 per tooth.

“If made of porcelain price can be £650-£1000 per tooth.”

Dr Jahan estimated that Jimmy is likely to have had more than £7,000 of dental work back in 2021.

In recent years, the comedian said he is more focussed on maintaining his look rather than trying to change his appearance.

He added: “Maintaining is the thing, I don’t think there’s anything you can do plastic surgery wise, or augmentation wise, that makes you look better.
