Travis Kelce is catching up with The Chainsmokers!

The Kansas City Chiefs player, aged 34, was spotted hanging out with The Chainsmokers in what seemed to be a backstage area at the duo’s Kentucky Derby performance in Louisville, Kentucky. The photo, posted on Friday, May 3 by Alex Pall, one half of the musical duo, captured the moment.

The Grammy-winning duo were performing at the Ice House venue as part of the Sports Illustrated Revel at the Races concert ahead of the big race on May 4.

In Pall’s Instagram Stories snap, Kelce gave a smoldering look to the camera, while his friend, retired NBA star Chandler Parsons, appeared lost in thought. In a previous photo posted on Pall’s Instagram Stories, he shared a picture of an airplane with the caption, “Kentucky Derbyyy, Here we come! SI party tonight.”

The Kansas City Chiefs player was also photographed inside Ice House on May 3, sharing laughs with other guests at the Revel at the Races concert while donning the same outfit he wore in Pall’s snap.

Kelce’s hangout with the EDM-pop duo follows a previous encounter back in February when he partied with the band. At that time, the athlete was celebrating the Kansas City Chiefs’ 2024 Super Bowl victory with his teammates and girlfriend Taylor Swift at Zouk nightclub at Resorts World in Las Vegas.

In a video shared on TikTok, Kelce was seen joining the band’s DJ booth onstage after hearing them play his girlfriend Swift’s 2008 hit song “You Belong with Me.”

Kelce sang along to the song in the clip as he pumped his fists in the air. The NFL player also changed the lyrics in the chorus as he sang,  “Are you in love with me?” instead of singing, “You belong with me.”

According to the caption in the video, band frontman Andrew Taggert had said to Kelce, “I didn’t know if I should play it or not.” Kelce was then seen singing to a person off-camera, “Are you in love with me?”

While it was not known if the person was his girlfriend, Swift, the singer was seen in another video from the moment shared by BFF Keleigh Teller on TikTok, pointing at Kelce, while singing along as the track played.

In another video posted on social media, Swift was captured telling Drew Taggart (the other half of The Chainsmokers duo) and his girlfriend, model Marianne Fonseca that the sweet lyric change moment was, “the most romantic thing that’s ever happened to me.”

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end has known the Chainsmokers for a while, having partied with them on various other occasions, including after the Chiefs’ Super Bowl win against the Philadelphia Eagles in 2023 at the team’s afterparty at the Hyatt Regency Resort and Spa in Las Vegas.

Work hard, play hard!

After the Chiefs’ triumphant 38-35 victory against the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl, Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, and the rest of the team celebrated in style with The Chainsmokers.

The Super Bowl champions joined the musical duo onstage at the Hyatt Regency Resort and Spa after their win, where they danced and enjoyed drinks with fans, friends, and even Mahomes’ mom, Randi, during the star-studded concert.

The Chainsmokers later shared epic shots from the celebration, featuring both Kansas City stars, on their Instagram story on Sunday night.

Kelce, aged 33, and Mahomes, aged 27, were all smiles as they danced the night away with the members of the “Closer” music group.

DJ Khaled, Jason Derulo and Tech N9ne also performed at the celebration. Chiefs head coach Andy Reid even joined the guys on stage at one point to revel in the moment.

Later in the night the team moved to 40 Love Scottsdale, where Swae Lee performed, to continue their victory celebrations.

Patrick’s mother Randi shared celebratory shots of her family on her social media page after the game.

Randi first posed for a selfie with — who else — the Kelce brothers’ mom Donna on the field after her son brought home the win. She wrote “Moms life” over the photo, which she posted to her Instagram story.

Randi also posted a sweet photo with Patrick and his siblings, brother Jackson Mahomes and half-sister Mia Randall, after the game.

Jackson, who is widely known by Patrick’s fans for his social media presence, congratulated his brother on Instagram after the win, writing, “SUPER BOWL CHAMPIONS” and shared additional shots from the field.

In a video shared to her Instagram Story, Brittany Mahomes can be heard yelling, “He did it!” while running onto the field after the win.

Brittany also shared footage of Patrick holding up the Vince Lombardi Trophy during a ceremony after the win. Another video on Brittany’s Instagram Story showed Patrick holding the couple’s young daughter, Sterling Skye, as confetti fell around them.

Sunday’s Super Bowl victory marks Patrick and the Chiefs’ second championship in four seasons. Mahomes previously clinched a win in 2020, helping the Chiefs defeat the San Francisco 49ers at Super Bowl LIV.

During a ceremony after the game, Mahomes was asked whether he believes the Chiefs are now a “dynasty” following his second Super Bowl title. “I’m not gonna say dynasty yet,” Mahomes responded. “We’re not done yet!”

The 27-year-old NFL star dominated the league in passing yards (5,250), passing touchdowns (41), offensive yards (5,614), and offensive TDs (45) during the season. He was also honored as the 2022 regular season MVP.

“No one truly sees the grind and the effort and how many hours you’re putting in around the clock, behind the scenes, day in and day out,” Brittany expressed in a video after Patrick received the NFL MVP honor.
