‘You got hit in the head too many times,’: Antonio Brown makes distasteful joke about Chandler Jones winning ‘CTE Recipient of the Year’ at NFL Honors… after troubled former NFL star worried fans with bizarre string of off-field incidents

Antonio Brown made a distasteful joke about fellow football player Chandler Jones on Friday night, sharing an NFL Honors mock-up of ‘CTE Recipient of the Year.’

Jones, an NFL veteran who most recently played for the Raiders, has had a string of worrying off-field incidents this year, as he baselessly blamed Las Vegas coach Josh McDaniels for the suicide of ex-teammate Aaron Hernandez, and was also arrested for violating a domestic violence temporary protective order.

And Brown made fun at the defensive end as he shared the fake NFL Honors graphic, captioning the post ‘#CTESPN’ on X.

Jones was cut by the Raiders earlier this season and previously claimed that CTE is ‘fake’ – while also saying that he and Brown would be hosting a podcast together named after the degenerative disease.

‘I know the ”T’ stands for ”trauma” and I know it’s not blunt-forced trauma. I know it also doesn’t mean that you got hit in the head too many times,’ he said on the Jaxxon Podcast. ‘That doesn’t mean that… CTE is not real. I don’t believe it’s real. […] It’s not real, CTE is not real.

‘The ”T” in trauma could be from being molested as a kid, from things that you went through in high school and that could be mental trauma. Emotional trauma. But not blunt-forced, got-punched-in-the-head trauma.’

Since his release from the Raiders in September, Jones has had ‘Messiah’ tattooed on his head.

He also accused accused Raiders owner Mark Davis of protecting someone who allegedly molested his goddaughter: ‘I wish I could play with my brothers, but marky mark is holding a huge secret that only I know!,’ he wrote on X at the time.

Jones had sparked significant concern when he posted a rambling, tearful clip to social media.

At one point, Brown – who has had some extremely public issues of his own – appeared to offer Jones help.

‘I love you bro coming see you king …… give them my real number we all coming,’ he tweeted at Jones.

The ex-Steelers star then posted a picture which appeared to show he and Jones FaceTiming.
