The star’s alleged teen social media antics have been unearthed – and it turns out she was just like us as adolescents

Taylor Swift has made a fortune out of relating to young women in her songs.

It turns out she was almost as embarrassing as most of us on Myspace back in the day.

Internet sleuths have allegedly unearthed old comments and pictures from the star’s old Myspace page.

The young star was apparently pretty innovative when it came to photography.

Here she is taking a selfie with friends, years before front-facing cameras popularised the phenomenon.

More interestingly, young Taylor Swift left some classic comments on the pages belonging to her friends.

These were apparently screengrabbed a few years ago, before the change in Myspace’s design.

We don’t know for sure they were definitely her – but they are pretty funny and sweet.

She wrote posts saying she loved her friends, peppered with in-jokes.

This comment says:

“Just a little reminder to you that, even though the semester may be over…

“I’m still quite obsessed with you.

“haha f*** sewing machines.

Another talks about the artist Grant Wood and also remarks that her friend Shelby’s boobs look amazing in a picture.

Also, like many of us, she hated it when people posted ugly pictures of her.

Here she is telling off her friend for posting a ‘fugly’ photo of her on the site.

Another post has a random inside joke from the move Sahara.

A comment, allegedly made by Taylor Swift, also talks about prom pictures – and makes what could be interpreted as a catty comment about another girl.

To be honest, who didn’t use Myspace walls for that?

It says:

“PUT UP PROM PICTURES!!!!!!!

“And as soon as I get my laptop back, I’ll be leaving you a certain picture that I think you’ll like.

“Because a certain girl might see it.

And finally, here’s a strange limerick apparently she wrote when she was bored:

If these were actually from her Myspace, and were indeed written by Ms Swift, it shows she was just as awkward a teen as the rest of us – but apparently managed to escape having an embarrassing emo phase. Lucky woman.
