Ever since being drafted by Indiana Fever in last week’s 2024 WNBA draft, Caitlin Clark has been the talk of the country.

Since last Monday, the former Iowa Hawkeye has signed her new WNBA contract, received a multi-million dollar deal with Nike, and even got to rev up the crowd at the Indiana Pacers NBA Playoffs game.

At Iowa, Clark was a first-team All-American in all four seasons with the Hawkeyes. She also led the team to two Final Four appearances, falling just short of a championship in both instances. The spotlight is nothing new for Clark.

On Saturday, she sat down with the Fever’s media team and gave a bold prediction on the upcoming WNBA season.

“That’s what I’m excited for. Like, it’s a new chapter. That’s what I was ready for, and making this home, I expect a lot of Iowa fans to become Indiana Fever fans,” Clark said, “They support women’s basketball so well. I know a lot of them will be in the stands this summer cheering us on.”

Clark will make her WNBA debut on Tuesday, May 14th, as the Fever take on the Connecticut Sun.
