Katy also got snappy with a fellow Idol judge
KATY Perry has taken a brutal jab at her fans during a recent episode of American Idol.
On Monday night, the Idol judges: Katy, 39, Lionel Richie, 74, and Luke Bryan, 47, were in charge of picking songs for the Top 8 to sing.

All three judges were able to pick one song so the contestant could choose which one they wanted to perform.
Kaibrienne was given three songs: Traitor by Olivia Rodrigo, Greedy by Tate McRae, and Take A Bow by Rihanna.
She chose Traitor to perform in front of the judges, the audience, and America.
After her performance, she received a standing ovation from the judges and the audience.
Kaibrienne did her best to figure out which judge chose Traitor but was incorrect after guessing Luke.
Then, Katy revealed that it was her.
Before Luke and Lionel could get another word in, the Firework hitmaker said, “Shout out to my Katy Cat fans who think I got a haircut. They’re traitors. This is a wig.”
Moments after Katy’s big hair reveal, Luke said, “Let me check it,” while pinching the back of her hair while Katy gave her country singer judge the side eye and told him to stop.
Fans flooded X, formerly Twitter, to share their honest opinions on the star’s luscious locks.
One exclaimed, “Katy chipped her hair off!!!!! Getting a cut right before Idol!!!”

Another fan said, “Love this wig on you! You should cut your hair to look like this. Gorgeous.”
A third tweeted, “Black hair is your thing!”
The pop music singer seemed to fool fans as she posted a video on her X account while her stylist was cutting her hair while getting ready for the live episode of Idol.
This isn’t the first time Katy’s hair had fans talking.

NEW HAIR, DON’T CARE
Last week, Katy debuted another hairstyle while filming for the singing competition series.
In a video shared on her social media, the star was filmed exiting her trailer and said, “She’s late, but she’s not ugly. Goodbye!”
In the comment section, fans couldn’t help but praise Katy for her look.
However, others shared their distaste for her hair.
“Katy I love you but that hair ain’t it,” one person said.
“Beaut but what is this hair,” another questioned.
