Cardi B is sharing details about the “terrible” moment she and husband Offset found out that Takeoff had been shot and killed last November.

“We was in bed,” she recalled on the “Jason Lee Podcast” on Monday.

The “I Like It” rapper, 30, revealed that she and the Migos emcee, 31, were supposed to go to La La Anthony’s Halloween party in New York, but, their daughter Kulture, 4, “threw up” all over her costume.

“We just fell asleep and out of nowhere, Offset phone kept ringing, my phone kept ringing,” she continued. “Offset picked up the phone and he’s just like, ‘No!’ And he screaming and screaming. And I’m like, ‘What’s going on?’ He’s like, ‘Takeoff is dead.’”

Cardi B recalled the moment when she and Offset found out about Takeoff’s d.eath.

Cardi said she and her husband were in bed when their phones started ringing nonstop.

Cardi, whose real name is Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar Cephus, said she then “smacked” her husband and told him, “Don’t say that!”

“He’s just like screaming, throwing things, throwing up, running all over. I was just so scared. I was just crying so much. It was terrible,” she added.

After they found out about the tragic news, Cardi said things became somber in her household.

“It was just such a sensitive time in my home. I feel like everything was so triggering. It was a lot,” she shared.

Takeoff was shot and killed on Nov. 1 while in a Texas bowling alley.

Takeoff — whose real moniker is Kirsnick Khari Ball — was shot and killed on Nov. 1 after his Migos bandmate Quavo got into a verbal altercation with a group of people. He was 28 years old.

After his passing, Offset, whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, penned an emotional tribute to his late cousin and bandmate on Instagram, calling his d.eath “unbearable.”

“My heart is shattered and I have so many things to say, but I can’t find the words. I’ve been going to sleep and waking up hoping that all of this is a dream, but it’s reality, and reality feels like a nightmare,” the “Clout” rapper added.

While Offset has continued to mourn Takeoff’s d.eath, Cardi has remained by his side —although she admitted that she felt “hopeless” trying to keep a smile on his face.

Cardi previously said she felt “hopeless” trying to make her husband happy after Takeoff’s d.eath.

“We don’t want no sympathy. We ain’t no charity case, but no lie, I have been feeling so hopeless trying to make my husband happy, Trying to make him crack a smile,” the Grammy winner shared, per the Neighborhood Talk.

Last month, authorities arrested Patrick Xavier Clark, 33, and charged him with murder for Takeoff’s d.eath. On Jan. 4, he posted his $1 million bond and was released from prison.

Clark, via his attorney, has maintained his innocence.
