Well, this is a Carpool Karaoke first. While jamming out to some of Maroon 5’s greatest hits, James Corden’s latest segment with Adam Levine got interrupted by the police.

The pair were singing “She Will Be Loved,” Maroon 5’s 2002 song, when all of a sudden they heard sirens. Corden was caught off guard. “What do the police want?” he said, fumbling to roll down the window.

“We’re gonna pull you over so he can sing a song,” the sheriff shouted from across the road.

“You want us to pull over so he can sing a song for you?” Corden laughed.

“Yes, because you’re causing a traffic hazard,” he added.

The policeman let them go soon after, but he just told them to “be careful” while singing and driving on the road. Levine was “nonplussed” by the whole experience, Corden remarked. But the Late Late Show host was “panicked in my core.”

Afterwards, they weren’t too, too careful. Having sang through songs like “Moves Like Jagger,” “This Love,” “Sugar,” and “Wait,” they took turns speeding through a race track. “Where’s that policeman from before?!” Levine joked as Corden bounded around a corner.
