Does Adam Levine Really Have A Face Tattoo?
Adam Levine’s life outside of Maroon 5 primarily revolves around music (still) and his family. After less than three decades after playing as Maroon 5’s shirtless vocalist, Adam has ventured into other career paths, such as being a coach in The Voice. But nothing prepared him for life as a father, as he and his 10-year partner Behati Prinsloo welcomed their first daughter Dusty Rose in 2016 and Gio Grace in 2018.
Despite entering another phase in his life which is fatherhood, Adam Levine remains as goofy and spontaneous as he was three decades ago. In the late months of 2021, Adam again topped the headlines when he and Behati attended a red carpet event that shocked fans utterly when they saw the 43-year-old sporting his new face tattoo.
However, Adam Levine confirms that his black rose face tattoo was fake to settle all his raging fans’ reactions. It immediately settled down all the raging responses, including those which blamed Behati for Adam’s seemingly real tattoo.
Why Did Adam Levine Get A Rose Tattoo?
Adam Levine often does get a tattoo for outrageously spontaneous reasons. In 2021, the singer got a neck tattoo because ‘Instagram went down.’ He also flaunted it on Instagram, captioning his post, “Wise man once said… ‘when Instagram goes down… tattoo your throat…” his name was [his tattoo artist].”
Following his most recent tattoo clamor, Adam Levine did not, however, really get a rose tattoo on his face. He also added that getting a tattoo on his face is least likely as he loves his appearance too much.
In an Instagram story addressed to his mother, Adam said, “I [Adam Levine] do not have a tattoo on my face. I am too vain for those [fans] that know me to know. I’m too vain to get a tattoo on my face. I’ll tattoo the rest of this [body], but no, the face has got to stay the same.”
However, fans speculate that his temporary tattoo could be a publicity stunt he thought of to promote his and his wife’s newly founded tequila brand, Calirosa.
Behati Prinsloo Revealed Adam Levine’s Face Tattoo On Instagram
Aside from attending the red carpet event, the Victoria’s Secret Angel also showed off Adam Levine’s temporary face tattoo in an Instagram story with the background noise of her laughing.
It set off many of Adam’s fans, thinking she was the one who was behind her husband’s tattoo. Knowing how spontaneous Adam is, his fans did not hesitate to put to social media their dismay over Behati Prinsloo, assuming she let Adam finally dent his face with a tattoo.
Is Adam Levine’s Face Tattoo For Behati Prinsloo?
After Adam debuted his allegedly ‘new’ face tattoo, he quickly began receiving mixed reactions from fans. His wife Behati received more negative comments stating their disappointment with her for letting him do it so spontaneously.
However, thanks to Adam Levine’s Instagram story clearing up his face tattoo rumors, the bashing on Behati died quickly. The former The Voice coach also clarified that it has no meaning, contrary to speculations that he might have gotten his face tattoo for Behati.
Although the Maroon 5 vocalist did get a tattoo for Behati Prinsloo, it wasn’t on his face. Tattooed across his fingers, the words “TRUE LOVE” are for Behati and their two daughters.
Fans Freaked Out About Adam Levine’s Face Tattoo
It is not new for Adam to receive adverse reactions from fans because of his actions, as previously, he also had to address backlash from fans for his reaction as a woman grabbed him onstage.
It isn’t new for Maroon 5 fans to get excited to see the members, especially Adam Levine, on stage, but the excitement of a fan as the band performed in the Audacity’s 8th Annual We Can Survive Concert led her to go up to the stage and grab Adam’s arm. As other fans described, the vocalist quickly pulled back with a ‘disgusted’ face.
That’s why when fans found out that Adam got a seemingly real face tattoo later that year, they freaked out yet again, but it seemed like it didn’t rattle Adam Levine as much. With how brutal Maroon 5’s fans have recently been towards Adam physically or virtually to Behati, Adam Levine still seems to be in his typical animated yet frank personality.
