Singer Huntley may have won Season 24 of The Voice with his unique, gravel-y tone, but that isn’t the only talent he has up his sleeve.

Back in 2022, Huntley shared a video of himself covering “Too Close” by Alex Care on his official Instagram page. And during his rendition, he not only sounded pitch-perfect, he showed off his impressive piano skills as well. He sang with passion, playing the keys intensely for an epic accompaniment.

Huntley’s journey on The Voice Season 24

Huntley first wowed everyone during his Blind Audition on The Voice, singing “She Talks to Angels” by The Black Crowes and earning a rare Four-Chair Turn from the Coaches. Ultimately, it was his daughter, Stella, who helped him make his Coach pick after he brought her onstage: He chose Team Niall.

From there, Huntley never disappointed with a performance. He sang “Hold My Hand” by Hootie & the Blowfish for his Battles round, advancing him to the Knockouts. During the Knockouts, he did a gritty rendition of “Wanted Dead or Alive” by Bon Jovi, which Coach Niall Horan described as ““the best Knockout I’ve ever seen on this show.”

For the Playoffs, Huntley shook things up by singing the goth-pop ballad “Daylight” by David Kushner. He truly came out on top during the Lives, where he sang “With a Little Help From my Friends” by The Beatles, “Way Down We Go” by Kaleo, and “Exile” by Taylor Swift and Bon Iver, earning him the winning title for Season 24.

In a recent interview with NBC Insider, Huntley opened up about what The Voice means to him as an Artist.

“I think for me, winning The Voice wasn’t really my goal. Every time I went out there, my goal — every single time — was to create a moment. Because I never genuinely thought that I was going to win The Voice. I just wanted to create a resume to show exactly who I was,” he said.

He also explained how watching Horan’s coaching skills on Season 23 influenced his decision to be on his team. “My daughter was sitting there watching them winning The Voice last year, and the fact that I’m here right now standing with him,” Huntley said. “But one thing that drew me to him as a Coach is how genuine, not only Gina [Miles] was, but him.”

“[Horan has] definitely helped me find out what my brand is and also where my brand can branch off to,” Huntley added. “I definitely want to stay true to my rock and roll roots. But I’ve shown that I can also jump into the mainstream with records like ‘Way Down We Go,’ ‘Daylight,’ and also ‘Another Love.’ This man knows how to pick songs, I’ll tell you that.”
