The daytime TV show host’s mind was elsewhere while reading her lines. 😂

Whoopi Goldberg is familiar with reading notes while taping various segments on The View. But sometimes she finds herself accidentally saying things that not even she is prepared to hear.

During a June taping of the daytime TV talk show, Whoopi discussed summer traveling with her co-hosts Sunny Hostin, Sara Haines, Ana Navarro and Alyssa Farah Griffin. As she looked at the notes given to her by producers, she began the segment by delivering a statistic about vacation-goers preferring good food over going to a beach. But when she read the cards, she accidentally slipped and said something in lieu of the tropical landmark.

“A poll of 2 thousand adults in the U.K. found that when people travel, cuisine is more important to them than landmarks or b——. Beaches!” she said as her co-stars and the audience bursted out laughing.

Naturally, Whoopi tried to divert the unexpected NSFW moment by explaining why the word came to mind. She elaborated that she had a conversation with producers on an entirely different subject, which appeared to still be on her mind while in the middle of filming.

“I’m sorry! It says ‘beaches!'” the Ghost alum continued while chuckling herself. “This is y’all’s fault! I can’t even tell you why it’s their fault, but we were talking about something else.”

Just like the TV personality and the live audience, folks on Twitter couldn’t help but laugh over the unforeseen on-air mishap. “Lol Whoopi 😄😄😄😄😄😄,” one person wrote. “Now I’m dead 🤣🤣🤣,” another cracked up. “Whoopi was speaking from the heart,” a different viewer joked.

Luckily, the laughter from the surprise incident didn’t deter the Sister Act star from continuing the subject. She acknowledged what occurred and let her fellow hosts share their opinions on vacationing, which included anecdotes about how their views on traveling has changed over the years.

One thing is for sure: Whoopi always bring joy to daytime TV — even if it’s sometimes at her own expense.
