One critic noted that early on in Maroon 5’s initial days of fame, Adam Levine acted like a jerk.

Before he met and wooed his model partner Behati Prinsloo, Adam was totally a ladies’ man. He was linked to a ton of beautiful women, including famous ones, and had a reputation as a bit of a bad boy bachelor.

But after he and Behati married in 2014 and then welcomed two daughters, the singer, who is mostly a solo act these days, seemed to settle down.

Adam stuck close to home with a gig on ‘The Voice’ and spent a decade working a ton, finally leaving the TV stage in 2019. Hollywood Reporter recapped an interview that he did with Ellen DeGeneres where the star admitted he missed being part of the show.

However, Adam also noted that it was nice to not work so much and truly be a stay-at-home dad to his girls, Dusty and Gio. It probably didn’t hurt that he was leaving behind a purported feud with Blake Shelton.

Maybe Adam’s time on ‘The Voice’ came to an end for a reason… Although, fans weren’t exactly thrilled about John Legend sticking around and yet he’ll be back for another season.

While his onscreen brand has a certain tinge to it these days, Adam Levine hasn’t always been a family man who’s happily married. In fact, he hasn’t always been so beloved by fans, either.

As recently as February 2020, Adam expressed remorse over “unprofessional” behavior during a concert in Chile.

Fans could have called him a jerk for not giving his performance the attention it deserved when he and the rest of Maroon 5 took to the stage 15 minutes late for their slotted show. Then, Adam called fans out for singing along to the band’s songs…

But that’s not the only criticism fans have of Adam. On Quora, one user posed the question “Who are the biggest jerks in music?”

And the answer surprised many of Maroon 5 (and Adam Levine’s) fans. One critic noted that early on in Maroon 5’s initial days of fame, Adam Levine made rude comments about fans and even his current girlfriend.

Reportedly, Adam told a fan that he ‘didn’t give autographs to ugly chicks.’ Though what he said (and how exactly he said it) can’t necessarily be confirmed, many commenters agreed that it sounded a lot like the Maroon 5 frontman’s personality.

After all, in an interview, he apparently said that dating a model was ‘one of the perks of being a rockstar.’
