Travis Barker’s Son Landon Addressed His Recent Comments About Wanting To Be “The Only Barker Boy” Amid The Arrival Of His Baby Brother Rocky And Revealed He Hasn’t “Even Held” Him Yet

“I actually haven’t even held it,” Landon said of Travis and Kourtney’s new little boy.

A month ago, news broke that Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian had welcomed their first child together.

The couple, who have been married since May 2022, each have three kids of their own from previous relationships. Kourtney shares Mason, 13; Penelope, 11; and Reign, 8, with her ex, Scott Disick, while Travis has Landon, 20; Alabama, 17; and his stepdaughter Atiana, 24 with his ex-wife, Shanna Moakler.

Neither Kourtney nor Travis have publicly shared any specific details about their new baby since his birth. However, days prior, Travis casually revealed on the One Life One Chance podcast that the little boy would be named Rocky Thirteen Barker.

Back in September, ahead of the little boy’s birth, Travis’s son Landon made an appearance on the Zach Sang Show, where he opened up about his thoughts on having a new baby sibling.

“We’re almost 20 years apart, so I feel like our lives are gonna be very different,” Landon told the podcast hosts.

When asked if he was excited, Landon replied, “Hell yeah. I mean, it’s crazy… I’ve never really had a baby sibling.”

“It’s cool though, because it’d be different if it happened when I kinda needed the attention as a kid,” he continued. “I’m out of the house, I don’t really need that.”

While Landon maintained that he’s “super happy” for Travis and Kourt, he went on to add, “Kinda wish it was a girl though… Wish I was the only Barker boy.”

Landon noted that it’s “not a competition” at all, he said, “But there is another boy, unfortunately.”

A few months later, the Hulu series The Kardashians revealed Landon’s reaction to finding out Kourtney and Travis were having a boy.

At her gender reveal, Kourtney divulged that Travis had an inkling that they were going to be having a boy “the whole time” that she was pregnant. However, Landon made it known that he “wanted a girl” — as did several of the Kardashian/Jenners.

Now, during a brand-new interview, Landon was asked about his past comments on wanting to be “the only Barker boy.”

Appearing on SiriusXM TikTok Radio last week, host Jess Lucero told Landon, “I did see a TikTok about you wanting to be the only Barker boy.”

Landon replied, “Now I feel like I can’t say that, you know what I mean? But I totally was rooting for a little girl.”

Jess went on to ask Landon, “Have you changed any diapers yet?” He hastily replied, “I have not. And I will not be.”

Then, when asked if he has found it “weird” adjusting to having a baby sibling, Landon made it known that he hasn’t actually held the little one yet.

“I actually haven’t even held it,” he said, with the interviewer later clarifying on TikTok that Landon corrected himself “right away” and referred to Rocky as “him” instead of “it.”

Landon’s demeanor in the clip sparked a lot of discourse online, with several people questioning why he referred to the little boy as “it.”

“He really called his brother it,” one person wrote. “Someone seems a little bitter about not being the only Barker boy,” someone else suggested.

“He’s so jealous of the baby it’s sad. ‘It’ he knew what he was saying,” another person theorized.

However, several others jumped to Landon’s defense, arguing that it’s normal for a 20-year-old to react that way when referring to a new baby sibling.

“I think his reaction is pretty normal, if my mom or dad was still having kids 20+ years after I was born I’d be pretty annoyed too,” one person said.

“Tbh I think I would be annoyed too if my dad had another kid and I was 20,” someone else echoed, while another person added, “Not everybody wants to hold a baby.”
