“You were laughing at a corpse?” her “View” cohost Sara Haines asked.

If you’re not looking right and ready for Whoopi Goldberg in your casket? You’re in danger, girl.

The View moderator and Oscar-winning Ghost actress revealed on Thursday’s episode of the talk show that she once couldn’t stop laughing at a dead body in front of her.

“The best thing to do, you have to try to get up and leave — covering it doesn’t help,” the 67-year-old star said in a Hot Topics discussion about laughing at inappropriate times. “I went through this with somebody who was dead, and I thought, ‘I am in deep doo,’ because nothing was right in the coffin.”

Golbderg’s cohost Sara Haines put her journalist cap on and investigated further: “You were laughing at a corpse?” she asked.

“I was one of two people who saw that there was an issue, and we could not get up and you couldn’t adjust anything,” Goldberg replied. “You couldn’t go over and go, ‘Wait, let me fix this,’ and I got up and left.”

She threw the show to commercial with a reenactment of the moment, telling her cohosts that she would demonstrate to them how she made her exit by pushing herself up from her chair and shuffling toward the back of the set while stifling a laugh.

Goldberg’s latest musing on death comes three months after she revealed that her will stipulates that she can’t be turned into a hologram after she dies.

“Yeah, my estate doesn’t want it,” Goldberg said at the time. “My estate wants to be left alone.”

The View airs weekdays at 11 a.m. ET on ABC.
