Goldberg and Haines hawked a pottery-making device on the show before Goldberg turned it into an impromptu “Ghost” tribute.

Whoopi Goldberg and Sara Haines didn’t let The View cool off after Wednesday’s round of Hot Topics, as the pair recreated the steamy pottery sex scene from Ghost live on the air.

During a holiday gift segment, the duo approached a table that propped up a motorized pottery wheel, which prompted Goldberg — who won an Oscar for playing psychic Oda Mae Brown in the Jerry Zucker-directed 1990 classic — to dig her fingers into a mound of clay on the device while singing the Righteous Brothers’ “Unchained Melody,” the song that plays during the iconic pottery-making sequence from Ghost that sees Demi Moore and the late Patrick Swayze getting hot and heavy.

Quickly picking up on Goldberg’s reference, Haines cozied up behind Goldberg and embraced her, just like Swayze does to Moore in the movie.

The show then dimmed the lights on set as the audience laughed.

“We had to do it,” Goldberg said when the moment was over. “You knew that was going to happen.”

In November, Goldberg also referenced Ghost on The View during a Hot Topics discussion about the shortcomings of candidates in the 2024 presidential election.

“When you’re not taking us into consideration and it’s about holding onto power, you’re a danger, all of you,” Goldberg said. “You in danger, girl!”

The View airs weekdays at 11 a.m. ET on ABC.
