Goldberg said those who criticized Parton’s Dallas Cowboys cheerleader outfit should be “ashamed.”

The View returned Monday from its Thanksgiving break and Goldberg came to the Hot Topics table primed and ready to hit back at detractors who spoke out against Dolly Parton’s Dallas Cowboys cheerleader outfit she wore to perform at the NFL’s holiday halftime show.

“Apparently, my turkey wasn’t the only subject online that people were hating,” Goldberg said directly to the talk show’s camera, referencing a mini online firestorm she inadvertently caused after preparing her Thanksgiving turkey without wearing gloves. “77-year-old superstar Dolly Parton stole the show on Thanksgiving at the Cowboys-Commanders game dressed as a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader, but some critics told her to act her age. Bite me!”

The studio audience applauded the 68-year-old’s sentiment, before she continued to speak out against Parton’s critics. “Everybody that participated in this, you should be ashamed of yourself,” Goldberg said.

“If I look like that in one of them Cowboys things, I might have everything out. I don’t know if that’s a belly ring or what, but I want what she has,” cohost Sunny Hostin said of Parton’s outfit, which appeared to show her stomach, though many speculated that it was actually a skin-colored bodysuit.

The EGOT-winning actress transitioned the conversation into a discussion about Beyoncé’s 11-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, who was also criticized for dancing on stage with her mother during the recent Renaissance tour.

“Shame, shame on y’all,” Goldberg said, later adding, “She’s somebody who doesn’t care what you think. She’s someone who’s thinking for herself, and I’d like to see each and every one of you haters … do half of what she did on that stage. Let’s see your dance videos that you haven’t cleaned up. Don’t be shady, man. Life’s too short.”

Though some spoke out against Parton’s halftime crop top, the icon’s sister, Stella, tweeted her support following the performance.

“I personally thought my big sister Dolly was cute as hell in her Dallas Cowboys cheerleading costume at the half time show on Thanksgiving,” Stella wrote Sunday online. “To those of you being so critical of a 77 year old kicking up her heels, I say f— yourself. Shame on you not her.”
