All About The Voice Season 25 Coaches

There are two brand new celebs on the panel, marking the series’ first-ever Coach duo.

The Voice Season 25 premieres spring 2024, and it’s going to be special for many reasons. First and foremost, it’s the 25th season. Twenty! Five!

NBC’s hit singing competition show has now been on the air for more than 12 years, and in that time A-list Coaches ranging from Miley Cyrus to CeeLo Green have given their expertise to hundreds of hopeful singers. We’ve been blessed with so many excellent performances, both from the Coaches and Contestants, and the 25th season is only building on that tradition — but it’s going to break some new ground, as well.

You see, Season 25 will mark the first time a Coach duo has graced the panel. That means two people will technically occupy one of the four total Coach slots. Don’t worry: This makes sense once you realize who the two new stars on the panel actually are.

Who are The Voice Season 25 Coaches?

The Voice Season 25 welcomes Dan + Shay as the first-ever Coach duo on the show. They’ll be joined by returning Coaches Reba McEntire, John Legend, and Chance the Rapper.

Since forming in 2013, Dan + Shay have amassed millions of global career streams, 46 RIAA certifications, and nine number-one country radio singles. In 2021, they became the first Artists to win the Grammy Award for Best Country Duo/Group Performance three times consecutively since the category’s inception. Their platinum-certified self-titled third album included global hit “Tequila” (7x platinum), multi-platform success “Speechless” (6x platinum), and #1 country song “All to Myself” (2x platinum). Dan + Shay’s mark on country music, and beyond, continues to grow with the release of their highly anticipated fourth studio album, Good Things.

Chance the Rapper returns to a red chair after a triumphant debut in Season 23.

“I wanted to be a Coach on The Voice because I like giving platforms to young Artists — especially people who are already seasoned in their trade and know what they’re doing but just need the right spotlight. I wanted to be a part of the process,” he told NBC Insider in 2023.

Team Chance had representation in the Season 23 Voice finale in the form of sister trio Sorelle, who ultimately placed in fourth.

John Legend

Longtime Coach of The Voice John Legend took a step back after Season 22 but told fans he’d return at some point.

“My family’s growing, I have a new album out, I’m ‘gonna do a little bit of touring, and so it’s probably better that I take a break,” Legend told Entertainment Tonight in October 2022 about his decision to pause on The Voice. “…But I’ll be back on The Voice, just not this coming season.”

It appears he’s kept his promise as he’s now done back-to-back seasons after returning for Season 24. We can’t wait to see him back in action!

Reba McEntire

McEntire once famously said on Watch What Happens Live that she’d never be a Coach on The Voice.

“It was a very popular show in Holland, I’m pretty sure, and I watched the tape, and I said, ‘No, I’m going to pass on that,’ because I don’t think I could ever be able to tell somebody that they’re terrible or go find another job or hope you like your nighttime job,” she explained. “I couldn’t do that day in and day out.”

Thankfully, she’s had a change of heart.
