Britney Spears’ latest accusations against ex-lover Justin Timberlake make the audience curious about the songs the couple once wrote for each other.

Although Britney Spears’ memoir The Woman in Me has not yet been released, some excerpts about Justin Timberlake have been posted on social networks. The new allegations made the audience extremely shocked about the truth behind this couple’s 3-year love story.

Immediately after the new information was posted, the audience also rediscovered previous songs by Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake that were said to be written about their noisy love affair. In some of the songs, the male singer hinted at being cheated on by his ex-lover. As for Britney, it seems like she wrote a song dedicated to Justin Timberlake and their aborted child.

“Cry Me a River” – Justin Timberlake (2002)

Not long after their breakup, Justin Timberlake released the iconic hit Cry Me a River and is still loved to this day. Immediately after its release, the song was suspected to be written about his relationship with the “pop princess”.

In the MV, some details also allude to Britney Spears, including that the girl in the MV has blonde hair and a body similar to the singer. The song attracted attention when Justin Timberlake claimed that he was cheated on by his girlfriend and saw his girlfriend with another man.

Still unable to overcome the pain of heartbreak, Justin Timberlake continued to release the song Never Again in his first solo album Justified. Although the song does not specifically mention Britney Spears, it does imply that the Womanizer singer cheated on him while they were together.

“I would give up my life for you. I guess what they say about love is true, it’s blind. You lied to my face, when I looked you in the eyes”, some of the lyrics are believed to be a reference to ex-girlfriend Britney in this song.

In many different segments in Never Again, Justin Timberlake also appeared torn about whether to give Britney Spears a second chance or not. In addition, in interviews at that time, the male singer repeatedly mentioned his love affair with a pop star and that he was “cuckolded”.

In response to Justin Timberlake’s criticism, Britney Spears released the gentle ballad song Everytime. At the time of release, the audience believed that this was an apology from the “pop princess” to her ex-lover for breaking his heart. However, after revealing that Britney had an abortion because Justin Timberlake did not want to be a father, the audience had a different thought.

Specifically, in the MV Everytime, Britney Spears runs along the hospital hallway before entering the room of a woman lying flat. She then ran to another room, where a woman was holding her newborn daughter.

Before the lyrics and details in the MV, many viewers believed that Everytime was actually a lullaby for her unborn child with Justin Timberlake.

Fans and some music critics believe that the song is a sequel to Cry Me a River and still talks about his bitter relationship with Britney Spears. Just like the first song, What Goes Around … Comes Around continues to criticize the singer for cheating on him during a 3-year relationship.

In an excerpt from Britney Spears’ new memoir, the 41-year-old star admitted this affair to the shock of the audience. However, Britney later confirmed that Justin Timberlake also cheated on her.

At the time of their separation in 2002, Justin Timberlake shared that he had an agreement with his ex-girlfriend not to reveal the reason for “going their separate ways”. However, when rumors of Britney having an affair broke out, the SexyBack singer did not try to clear her name. He even caused confusion with the statement: “To be honest, we are not perfect. I don’t judge anyone.”
