Justin Timberlake fans devastated as free London show cancelled suddenly after they won tickets

Justin Timberlake has announced that his special one-off London show has been cancelled, leaving fans distraught.

The Cry Me A River singer, 43, was due to play at the Roundhouse in Camden on Friday night, with only a few lucky fans set to see the SexyBack singer at the intimate venue after winning tickets.

Justin has proven exceedingly controversial among some circles in recent months, with the release of Britney Spears’ memoir which lifted the lid on their relationship, and his apparent refusal to apologise to her after she apologised to him.

Despite this, fans of the Lovestoned musician were elated when he announced a free, one-night-only intimate gig at The Roundhouse – and have now been left heartbroken as he announced it was cancelled.

Justin took to Instagram on Thursday night, less than 24 hours before doors were set to open at the Roundhouse, and said he was extremely disappointed but he had no choice but to cancel the gig due to illness.

It’s left fans devastated – and confused, wondering what they might expect from the cancellation since they won tickets rather than bought them.

User Chantal questioned if her tickets ‘will still be valid if he rescheduled the show’ – however Justin has not given any indication that the show will be rescheduled, just cancelled.

Megafan Beth, who runs fan page @nsyncnationuk said she was ‘absolutely devasted’ but put Justin first when she added she ‘really hopes Justin gets some good rest and gets healthy. Poor guy.’

X user Jahan put it simply when they wrote: ‘won free tickets to see justin timberlake at roundhouse tomorrow and he’s cancelled his show this is my villain origin story.’

Others urged fans to be kind to the star, with OhMyFifty saying ‘judging [Justin] over getting sick and having to cancel a show in order to take care of himself isn’t helpful to him.’

Speaking directly to fans, and with a scratchy voice, he said: ‘This is an unfortunate video I have to send out. But I’m sure you can tell from the sound of things that I am not going to be able to make it to the show on Friday, which I’m gutted about.
