Justin Timberlake brought “SexyBack” to the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards.

On Monday night, the pop star, 43, opened the awards show with a mashup performance of “Selfish” and “No Angels” from his latest album, Everything I Thought It Was.

Sporting a sleek black suit, a pearl necklace and sneakers, Timberlake began his performance with an acoustic rendition of “Selfish,” surrounded by a desert-esque set complete with cactuses and a gas station.

Then, the *NSYNC alum moved to the center of the stage to dance with the band as he sang “No Angels” in front of an auto shop set piece.

Also performing during the event are Green Day, TLC, Jelly Roll, Lainey Wilson and Tate McRae.

Timberlake released Everything I Thought It Was on March 15. He revealed the tracklist, which features 18 songs, on a massive billboard in Los Angeles and the second-to-last track, called “Paradise,” features his *NSYNC bandmates.

In an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1 in January, the pop singer said his new album offered a “real” perspective on his life.

“I was able, on some of the songs, to look back at the past and have a real, not a refracted perspective of what it was because they always say … you always hear that thing about, well, there’s never any truth, there’s just everybody’s perspective of what happened. But to really look at it and be able to metabolize and verbalize my perspective on it, I don’t think I’ve ever really done that before,” explained Timberlake.

To mark the album’s release, the “Cry Me a River” artist shared behind-the-scenes photos from his cover art photoshoot on Instagram.

“My sixth studio album Everything I Thought It Was comes out at midnight (ET). This album is a culmination of where I’ve been and where I’m going – and I’m so grateful and nervous and excited to put it out into the world for you all,” Timberlake wrote. “Thank you for the love, it truly means so much to me 🫶🏻.”

After the album’s release, he played a free, one-night show for fans in Los Angeles and surprised attendees by bringing out his *NSYNC bandmates for a special performance, marking the first time the full group performed together live since the 2013 VMAs.

Beginning on April 29, Timberlake will embark on his Forget Tomorrow World Tour in Vancouver, Canada.

The iHeartRadio Music Awards are airing live from The Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on April 1 from 8-10 p.m. ET on FOX.
