One of the biggest player-coach splits came to light on Wednesday, as Novak Djokovic split up with long-time coach Goran Ivanisevic. Over the past week, there have been many rumors about the breaking of this iconic partnership, and rightly so, the legendary combo has split up.
After six years, and multiple tournament wins later, Djokovic parted ways with his coach. As expected, more questions around Djokovic have opened up, such as who is in search of a new coach.
While there were many coaches, one caught the eye of the tennis fans. The very popular bookmark Swiss bet had revealed that Roger Federer is the No. 1 odds-on favorite to become the new head coach of Serb.
This development opened the floodgates of banter for the online fans, as their comments had already started flowing. As much as this combo would be great to see, many are against it. Ivanisevic and Djokovic had won a lot together, and it wouldn’t be any easier for the Serbian to appoint a head coach.
