Ok on the Albatross she [says], ‘you were sleeping soundly when they dragged you from your bed.’ Travis had to move out of his house when they started dating. She still thinks she brings down all her romantic partners and is a burden,” one more

Taylor Swift is dating the boy on the football team — and waxing poetic about their relationship.

The pop superstar, 34, released her new double album, The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology, on April 19, and the 31-track project features a song called “So High School” — which Swifties have theorized is about her romance with Travis Kelce.

Sonically reminiscent of her Fearless era, “So High School” finds Swift musing about how many aspects of her relationship make her feel like a teenager — a.k.a. when she was writing lyrics about dating football players in songs like “You Belong with Me” and “Fifteen.”

“I feel so high school every time I look at you / I wanna find you in a crowd just to hide from you,” she opens the song, having spent time with the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, 34, in many crowded spaces as of late, from the Super Bowl to Coachella.

Swift sings about how their romance blossomed “in the blink of a crinkling eye,” and fans quickly pointed out how Kelce’s eyes have a signature crinkle when he smiles from ear to ear.

“I’m sinking, our fingers entwined / Cheeks pink in the twinkling lights / Tell me ’bout the first time you saw me,” she continues on the chorus, perhaps referencing the “twinkling lights” at outdoor stadiums for Swift’s performances and Kelce’s games — as well as his failed initial attempt to meet her at an Eras Tour show in July 2023.

On the track’s first verse, the Grammy winner sings, “Are you gonna marry, kiss, or kill me / It’s just a game, but really / I’m bettin’ on all three for us two.” Kelce played a game of “Kiss, Marry, Kill” in a 2016 interview with AfterBuzz TV that resurfaced last year, and he was asked to choose between Ariana Grande, Katy Perry and Swift before ultimately choosing to “kiss” his future girlfriend.

“Get my car door, isn’t that sweet? / Then pull me to the backsеat / No one’s evеr had me, not like you,” continues Swift on “So High School,” seemingly nodding toward the October 2023 video of Kelce insisting on helping the singer out of a car in New York City, gesturing to her security that he could handle the task.

She then appears to cheekily mention Kelce’s penchant for football and how it differs from her life as a poetic songwriter with the lyric, “Truth, dare, spin bottles / You know how to ball, I know Aristotle / Touch me while your bros play Grand Theft Auto.”

“It’s true, swear, scouts honor / You knew what you wanted, and, boy, you got her / Brand new, full throttle / You already know, babe,” adds Swift, after Kelce was quite open about his quest to give her a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it at the Eras Tour before they entered a relationship.

The second verse sees Swift sing about “laughing in the middle of practice to that impression you did of your dad again,” referencing both football and Kelce’s father, Ed, who gushed about the “Lavender Haze” musician in an October 2023 interview with PEOPLE.

Upon the surprise drop of The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology early in the morning on April 19, Swift took to Instagram and explained why the album features an extra 15 songs than initially announced.

“It’s a 2am surprise: The Tortured Poets Department is a secret DOUBLE album,” she wrote. “I’d written so much tortured poetry in the past 2 years and wanted to share it all with you, so here’s the second installment of TTPD: The Anthology. 15 extra songs. And now the story isn’t mine anymore… it’s all yours.”
