Fans of Taylor Swift have been targeting Kayla Nicole, the ex-girlfriend of NFL star Travis Kelce, with hateful and trolling messages on social media. This behavior appears to have been sparked by Kelce’s new relationship, which has brought a new fan base and increased attention to his personal life.  Nicole, who dated Kelce before his relationship with Swift, has been forced to address the negativity on social media. In a recent post, she expressed her frustration, stating, “I’m unproblematic. Mind my business.”


Kayla’s fans rush to defend her

Swift’s fans, known as “Swifties,” have been criticized for their behavior towards Kayla Nicole. One fan wrote, “To all swifties who come to Kayla’s page to hate – you embarrass your idol and also the few normal people that do like TSwift (me) by being the stereotype of jealous, insecure, juvenile mean girls who are also borderline racist any time they address a black person.”

Other fans expressed support for Nicole, with one saying, “Sorry lovely. You’re gorgeous and talented and should be recognized for that. I’m a Swiftie, but hate that you’re caught up in that. It’s not cool.”  Despite the negativity, many fans have shown kindness towards Nicole, with one fan commenting, “They are just sad miserable humans for the most part. You don’t deserve all the hate you are getting,” and another adding, “They’re more obsessed with you than they are of their fave.”

The relationship between Kayla and Travis lasted four years

Travis Kelce and Kayla Nicole’s relationship had its ups and downs before they split for good in 2022. The couple dated on and off for five years, with Nicole revealing that she made the first move by sending Kelce an Instagram DM in 2017.  Despite the Kansas City Chiefs tight end liking several of her posts, he never sent her a DM until she reached out to him. The two began dating five months after Kelce’s split from Maya Benberry, the winner of his dating show “Catching Kelce.”
