Scott Disick reportedly had a hard time when Kourtney Kardashian first moved on with link-182 drummer Travis Barker. The couple are now married and welcomed their first child together at the end of last year. But fans speculate that Scott is still struggling, especially given the close bond his youngest son, Reign, 9, seems to have with his stepdad.
Kourtney recently shared a snapshot from her family’s adventures in Australia. She’s currently Down Under with her kids and Travis as Blink-182 is touring. While the photo seemed innocent enough, fans couldn’t help but notice a shifting family dynamic.
Fans Think Scott’s Son Is Closer To Travis Barker Than Him
Posting on Saturday, Kourtney shared a series of images from her Australian escapade, courtesy of Airbnb, featuring her husband, Travis, 48, along with her children, son Reign, 9, and daughter Penelope, 11, captured in the frames.
Yet, eagle-eyed fans were quick to observe an intriguing detail: Reign’s distinctive fashion sense, which appeared to resonate more closely with his stepfather Travis’ edgy rocker style than with his biological father Scott Disick’s typically preppy attire.
The comments flared up with questions and criticisms about Reign and Travis’ close bond. One person wrote, “I wonder if Scott gets sad when he sees Reign replicating Travis’ dress sense like he wants to be a mini Travis rather than a mini Lord?”
A different follower added, “I’m sure he’s very happy that Travis loves his kids as his own… the fact still stands though… Present dads will always want their sons to mirror them rather than watching them mirror their stepfather.”
“Scott lost his entire family chasing little girls… KARMA,” one person wrote, referring to Scott’s history of dating younger women since splitting with Kourtney in 2015, shortly after Reign’s birth. Scott hasn’t addressed the speculation around his feelings towards Travis Barker, but this isn’t the first time fans have worried about his well-being recently. Even Kourtney Kardashian expressed concern that Scott was spiralling last year as his health took a turn following a car crash.
“I think Scott needs a little pep talk because this is probably the unhealthiest I’ve seen him. He’s barely mobile, and it’s all from his back, so that wouldn’t make anyone feel good,” Kourtney said on The Kardashians last year.
“I’ve gained a lot of weight here because of my back,” Scott replied. He admitted to not having sought treatment from a physical therapist, although he conceded to Khloe’s insistence on consulting a doctor.
