Former US President Donald Trump criticized Taylor Swift for not being loyal to him – the person who helped her achieve fame and great success through her policies during her time in office. On the contrary, he claimed to like her boyfriend, Travis Kelce.

On the day of the Super Bowl – 2024 American Football Super Cup (February 11), Mr. Donald Trump wrote on the social networking platform Truth Social that during his time in office (2017-2021), he signed and was responsible for the Music Modernization Act to support the careers of Taylor and other artists. In contrast, President Joe Biden has done nothing for Taylor and “never will.”

For that reason, he found it difficult to understand when the “Country Music Princess” supported Mr. Biden but was not loyal to him – the person who made the female singer a lot of money.

While attacking the Blank Space singer, the American billionaire declared that he likes Taylor’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce, even though “he may be a liberal and probably can’t stand me.”

The Music Modernization Act was signed into law on October 11, 2018, to modernize copyright-related issues in the music industry.

AsMr. Trump mentioned, the above law really helps Taylor. In 2019, when acquiring Big Machine Records, businessman Scooter Braun took ownership of the original music of the beauty born in 1989. Based on the new law, Taylor came up with the initiative to re-record 6 studio albums. The first is to reduce the value of old products that are now in Braun’s hands. From there, she regained ownership of the lyrics, vocals and album. She still uses her old name but adds the suffix “Taylor’s Version”.

The attacks on Taylor came after Mr. Trump allegedly told aides that it did not matter if Taylor voted for Joe Biden because he was “more famous” than the pop star. The 45th US President believes that even a superstar like Taylor cannot take away his victory next November.

According to Rolling Stone, Mr. Trump also said that it was wrong for Swift to be honored as Time magazine’s Person of the Year on December 12, 2023, because that award originally belonged to him.

Meanwhile, a source from the New York Times said Taylor is a key name on the list of people that Mr. Biden’s assistants want to attract. Mr. Biden’s election campaign is also hoping for the “Lord Snake” to appear with the president at a rally.

Although Taylor’s influence in politics is no joke, for many years she maintained a neutral attitude. However, in 2020, the singer vowed to send Mr. Trump out of the White House and declared that she would vote for the Democratic Party (Mr. Trump represents the Republican Party).

Elsewhere, on February 11, Taylor Swift was present at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas (USA) to cheer for her new boyfriend’s Kansas City Chiefs team. She was seen sitting in the VIP room with friends Ice Spice, Blake Lively and Lana Del Rey. After the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers at Super Bowl 2024, Taylor gave Travis a big hug and kiss in the stands.
