It is final. The Chicago Bears have made room to draft their next franchise quarterback in Caleb Williams. After trading Justin Fields, a first-round pick in the NFL Draft to the Pittsburgh Steelers for virtually nothing, the team has sent a clear message that they are going to be drafting Williams. Fields, despite his best efforts, was not the man for the job, at least that is how the Bears organization views it.
The Chicago Bears have the first pick in the NFL Draft this season and will choose Caleb Williams. The team has had their eyes on him for quite some time now. Ian Rapoport, the NFL insider revealed that this decision of the team was final and that Williams was being viewed by them as a long-term option.
In light of this, the question which arises is will the Bears surround Williams with the right talent and create a favorable environment for him to win or will they do him wrong like they did Fields? The organization has been criticized for ruining Justin Fields and his career. The growing concern now is if the same will happen to Caleb Williams.

The Chicago Bears have improved their offense this off-season
The team has attempted to sign better players. With D’Andre Swift as an addition at running back, Gerald Everett at tight end, and Keenan Allen at wide receiver, the Bears are setting Williams up for success. The team has D.J. Moore and Darnell Mooney to support him on offense. With this, the Bears are looking to Williams to be the savior that leads this team out of its disappointing record over the years.

While fans are eager to watch Caleb Williams suit up for the team, they understand that the organization cannot be relied upon. Another issue is the team’s offensive line. Justin Fields was one of the most hit quarterbacks last season and if the team intends for Williams to be healthy and be able to throw the ball effectively, they will need to upgrade the O-line.
