Buffalo Bills Lineman Issues Playoff ‘Warning’ to Kansas City Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes: ‘Good Luck!’
The rivalry between the Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs has been one-sided in the latter’s favor lately, at least in the playoffs.
With the two teams meeting once again in the Divisional Round on Sunday, the Bills are confident that this time will be different. Unlike the previous handful of games that took place in Kansas City, Buffalo is the team with home-field advantage this time. Bills fans always bring their A-game for big matchups, and with their team having a chance to slay the metaphorical dragon, Sunday’s game should be no exception.
Bills offensive lineman Dion Dawkins is so confident, in fact, that he sent a “warning” of sorts to the Chiefs and particularly quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who is playing the first road playoff game of his career.

“[Mahomes has] only been here once. So he’s never been here. Simple as that,” Dawkins said, per ESPN. “Pat has never been to the Bills stadium in full. … The environment will be different, and not to say it’s in our favor, but stadium is our favor. Stadium is us. That helps us. I don’t care what nobody says. This is the most dopest feeling I’ve ever had. We’re having two back-to-back playoff games home. Come on now, like we get to leave and go eat wings. It’s cool. So good luck.”
This isn’t just Mahomes’ first road playoff game, but his first trip to Highmark Stadium with fans. He played there in 2020, but the Bills weren’t allowed to have fans in the stands due to COVID-19. This time, though, Highmark Stadium will be rocking.
The last five matchups in this rivalry have all taken place in Kansas City. While the Bills have won three of those games, the Chiefs won both meetings in the postseason.
Rest assured, the Bills will be eager to avenge their past losses when they finally get to play the Chiefs on their own turf.
“They’ve been at the top of the mountain. They know what it takes to get there. We’ve yet to do that,” quarterback Josh Allen said. “Again, as a competitor, as a player to be in a situation like this is something you dream about. I know guys on this team have been waiting for this moment for a long time.
