Brock Lesnar’s UFC contract has been revealed and contains a clause which Ronda Rousey was denied.

After parting company with WWE, Lesnar swapped the squared circle for the Octagon and went on to become UFC heavyweight champion.

The Beast Incarnate quickly became a box office sensation and headlined UFC 100, beating Frank Mir via TKO to retain his title.

Lesnar was a hugely valuable asset to UFC during his initial eight-bout run in the company and his deal was incredibly unique.

According to Bloody Elbow, Lesnar put pen to paper on a lucrative new contract in 2009.

He was paid through his “DEATHCLUTCH” company and his terms for the UFC 100 event included a $1,500,000 basic purse, but with no win bonus or cut of the pay-per-view buys.

He remained champion and it was agreed that his future fights would contain a purse of $1,375,000 but he would get a pay-per view share of $2 per purchase if the event accrued over 700,000 buys.

For the fights where he wasn’t holding the gold, he was entitled to a purse of $750,000 and a win bonus that would take his total earnings to $1 million.

There was no pay-per-view but Lesnar’s deal also had added travel and accommodation perks.

He was allowed two hotel rooms as well as a first class flight for him and two economy tickets for his cornermen.

If he was the champion, Lesnar and his 6 ft 3 frame was allowed his own suite to relax in.

This was something that Rousey had asked for but was knocked back following the request.

His allowance was a $50 per diem per meal, with three meals per day for him and two cornermen.
