Dallas Cowboys have extended faith in Prescott for another season.
The Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb‘s name is doing rounds for a lot of wrong reasons. There are rumors that the WR is having tussles with the Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott. This is something that is not very new to the wide receiver. In the middle of the 2023 season as well, the WR had found himself in the middle of such controversies.
After the horrible playoff exit, CeeDee Lamb’s mother raised her fingers at Dak Prescott. In a Facebook post, she attacked the quarterback by claiming that the Cowboys need to get rid of Prescott as soon as possible after another playoff departure.
Following all this, the buzz regarding the relationship between the two main players of the Cowboys is the talk of the town. However, Lamb denied all such sour relation talks on Micah Parsons‘ podcast show and claimed that everything is pretty smooth between him and Prescott.
I have no beef with my quarterback. I love my dog, he knows that. … Dak can definitely lead us (to a Super Bowl). He just also needs other leaders. And that’s why I’m pointing at myself. I can help him. He’s already got so much on his plate.
He further addressed the playoff loss by saying,
I didn’t have the best start to the game. I had a drop. But also I only had two targets. And no, I’m not pointing at Dak.
Showing a high level of maturity, the WR also stated that he needs to work on himself. He addressed his ill-mannered behavior at times and claimed that he needs to handle difficult situations differently in the coming time.
CeeDee Lamb did not defend his mother’s comment on Dak Prescott
In the same episode, CeeDee Lamb disowned what his mother stated about Dak Prescott after the playoff defeat. He distanced himself from what his mother wrote on Facebook. His mother claimed that the Cowboys needed to get rid of Prescott as he was unable to give the playoff victory to the team.

Denying her claims, Lamb said,
I know what my mom said. Let’s get the elephant out the room. I have not been talking to my mom about any of this. I don’t talk to my mom about my sports nor my personal problems. She’s just being a mom. She knows her son. He comes home mad when we lose. She had the opportunity to voice her opinion on Facebook.
This season, Prescott and Lamb twinned well. Their partnership is expected in the next season as well, since the Cowboys have kept the faith in the quarterback for another season.
