Chiefs TE Travis Kelce won’t attend Golden Globes red apart with girlfriend Taylor Swift amid playoff buzz
The hottest duo in town will be in the same city on Sunday night but not together.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce will be in the same city at the same time on Sunday, but not together for a significant stretch of time. The pop star will be attending the Golden Globes Awards ceremony while Kelce is in town as the Kansas City Chiefs will play the final game of their season against the Los Angeles Chargers at SoFi Stadium.
The Week 18 game is likely to feature all backup players taking the field for the Chiefs while key starters such as Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce will get an opportunity to rest and be prepared come playoff time. The Golden Globes will commence after the conclusion of the Chargers-Chiefs game on CBS.
Despite this, Travis Kelce has decided to skip attending the Golden Globes and will not be going to any afterparties either. This is because the tight end wants to be completely focused towards prepping for the playoffs and stay ready. Kelce will fly back with the Chiefs to Kansas City after the game.

Page Six reported that Kelce and Swift will not be seen together at any parties together or on the red carpet. Sunday night will be a big night for the 12-time Grammy winner as she has never been closer to winning her first Golden Globe for the best Cinematic and Box Office Achievement for her iconic ‘Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour’.

Before this, Taylor Swift has been nominated for the Golden Globes’ Best Original Song four times, the most recent being for her song Carolina from the movie Where the Crawdads Sing. She is yet to add a Golden Globe award to her trophy showcase.
Her Eras Tour movie alone has fetched over a quarter of a billion dollars in terms of gross sales. For reference, it costed $15 million to make the movie. Its uniqueness and success have led to it becoming one of the most successful concert films of all-time right behind Michael Jackson’s This is It film created in 2009.

Swift last attended the Golden Globes in 2020 after she was nominated for Beautiful Ghosts from Cats. She was dating Joe Alwyn at the time.
The Chiefs are yet to confirm if their starters will get to take the field on Sunday or will sit out. Most teams will be sitting their starters out to allow them to get adequate rest before the playoffs commence.
