Colin Cowherd OUTRAGEOUSLY claims Lamar Jackson-led Ravens despite the addition of Odell Beckham Jr. is ‘not’ a playoff team unlike Steelers

The Baltimore Ravens have had a history of injuries with their star players which has been the thorn in their side.

The Baltimore Ravens had a rollercoaster of a season last year. Their MVP quarterback Lamar Jackson suffered an injury midway through the season and was replaced by backup Tyler Huntley, who wasn’t as effective as Jackson under center.

After a tumulous offseason which consisted of a long and tiring contract extension battle with Lamar Jackson, Baltimore finally settled and signed a five-year $260 million contract. With the addition of star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., many experts and fans believe that the Ravens are finally a strong enough team that can make it to the Super Bowl.

However, veteran talk show host Colin Cowherd doesn’t agree with that consensus. On the latest episode of his show The Herd with Colin Cowherd, he revealed his latest list of teams that will make the playoffs. Surprisingly, Cowherd had left off the Ravens led by 2019 NFL MVP Lamar Jackson. Cowherd believes that the Pittsburgh Steelers are in a better position to make it to the playoffs, unlike Baltimore.

He said, “The Ravens’ top six players outside of Mark Andrews the tight end all get hurt. Tackles, running backs, Lamar Jackson, wide receivers.” Injuries did keep a lot of the Ravens players on the sideline for the majority of the season. Currently, WR Mike Thomas, RB J.K. Dobbins, and LB Josh Ross among others are questionable to start the Week 1 game against the Houston Texans.

The Ravens are looking strong with Jackson back in the fold along with 2014 Offensive Rookie of the Year, Odell Beckham Jr. Injuries can’t be predicted, and looking at the way the team has been performing in the minicamp, the Ravens just might prove Cowherd wrong.

Lamar Jackson is mighty impressed with Odell Beckham Jr.

The Ravens started their minicamp a couple of days back and their newest wideout OBJ was also in attendance. The 30-year-old receiver was back to his old self in no time after recovering from the ACL injury he suffered in Super Bowl LVI.

Beckham’s skills impressed Jackson a lot and couldn’t stop gushing about him during the press conference. He said, “I think he looked pretty smooth. Crisp routes, great hands. As everybody knows, he can catch the ball. He looked pretty good out there.”

“Odell is a legend to a lot of us [with] what he did early in his career and the past year [2021 season] when he was with the Rams. Odell is him, one of those guys,” Jackson said as per ESPN’s Jamison Hensley.

Baltimore might make it to the playoffs and maybe beyond barring any injuries to their star players in the 2023 season. Let’s see if that happens or not.
