Colin Cowherd subtly MOCKS Dak Prescott’s Cowboys for winning just 4 playoff games in the 21st century

Check out what Colin Cowherd said about the Dallas Cowboys’ upcoming season with Dak Prescott as their starting quarterback.

Popular NFL analyst Colin Cowherd came down hard on the Dallas Cowboys for their shambolic performance in the postseason for the past seasons, despite having a 12-5 record in the regular season. Cowherd, on his show ‘The Herd’, mocked the Cowboys for having only four wins in the playoffs this century.

The Cowboys have failed to reach to the Super Bowl since the Super Bowl XXX, the year they won their fifth and final Lombardi trophy. They reached the NFC Championship divisional game against the San Francisco 49ers last season. However, their hopes of a Super Bowl title ended with a defeat.

The Dallas Cowboys suffered a 19-12 defeat in the Championship encounter, a game where their offense led by quarterback Dak Prescott failed to turn up. The heartbreaking defeat meant that the Cowboys continued their poor postseason record with the combination of quarterback Prescott and head coach Mike McCarthy.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has put in his faith behind Prescott to lead the franchise for yet another season despite their disappointing year in 2022/23. They were able to secure a victory against Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the wild card round, by a margin of 31-14 to secure their first victory on the road in the playoffs since 1992.

The veteran analyst also felt that with Dak Prescott as their quarterback, the Cowboys would not be able to win the NFC Championship this season, with the Philadelphia Eagles having a much stronger team than them for the upcoming season.

“The Cowboys, for me, in the last 15 years, I have the same opinion every year on them. They are pretty good. They’ll have, like, one star, six or seven pretty good players, and they’re pretty good. … Dallas is not nearly as good as Philadelphia on any offensive unit, and I could argue not superior on any defensive unit,” Cowherd said on The Herd podcast, while analyzing the Cowboys’ upcoming season for the 2023/24 season.

“That’s reasonable to their over/under is nine-and-a-half. I take the under, but that’s about what they are. And if that’s what they are, not good as Philadelphia,” he continued.

In all fairness, the Eagles with quarterback Jalen Hurts are one of the strongest franchises in the National Football Conference, and they have momentum on their side as well. The Eagles came up second in the Super Bowl encounter last season, and are favorites to win the division this season as well.

The Cowboys need to find a way where quarterback Dak Prescott would be the most effective, after the 29-year-old had the worst year of his career in terms of interceptions recorded (15).
