As the league approaches the final weeks of the 2023 regular season, the MVP race is heating up. Brock Purdy had the upper hand on the race, but following his horrible performance in the San Francisco 49ers‘ loss against the Baltimore Ravens in week 16, a lot of people including the Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons are questioning Purdy’s credibility to be involved in the MVP conversation.

Parsons has always been questioning Purdy’s MVP credibility as he has insinuated that the second-year quarterback can’t lead the Niners to a comeback victory. But, Purdy was having a great season with the Niners till his 4 interception performance against the Ravens. Now, Parsons has jumped on the opportunity to blast the Niners leader.

Down 21 and there no shots or development throws! Should tell you all you need to know!

When fans attacked Micah Parsons and pointed out the same could be said about his quarterback Dak Prescott, the Cowboys linebacker doubled down his take and questioned what should be the credibility of someone to win the NFL MVP award.

So is mvp numbers , wins, strength of schedule, interceptions do or don’t matter?!Like what’s the qualification because we’re all over this year!!

Well, this year has really been all over the place when it comes to the MVP race. Currently, Brock Purdy, Lamar Jackson, and Tyreek Hill are the front runners for the MVP award, but likely a quarterback will win and take home the hardware. So, the competition is really between Purdy, Jackson, and the Cowboys QB Prescott.

Brock Purdy’s 4-int performance ruined his chances at the MVP

A few weeks ago, Brock Purdy and Dak Prescott were the front runners for the MVP award. But when Prescott had back-to-back poor performances, Purdy emerged as the sole front-runner to win the prestigious award.

But, Purdy’s horrific 4-interception outing against the Ravens on Monday at a home game has now ruined his shot. Now, the Ravens QB Lamar Jackson has become the No.1 choice for many experts and fans.

Purdy can still win the award if he performs at a high level in the next 2 games, but he missed the opportunity to seal the award in week 16 with his unexpected poor outing.

Next, Purdy will look to further his MVP choices this weekend, when the 49ers are scheduled to take on the Washington Commanders in their week 17 clash. The 49ers would also look to better their shot at the No.1 seed by defeating the Commanders.
