The Dallas Cowboys are on the verge of winning the NFC East division title with a solid record of 11 wins and 5 losses. One of the main reasons for their success is their star quarterback, Dak Prescott, who has established himself as a top signal-caller in the league.

Amidst this, Prescott addressed the media ahead of their crucial week 18 game and was asked about his turnaround from last season to this season.

At that time last year, I knew this is who I am, just as I talked about then. Some things were tough, balls weren’t going exactly the way I wanted to, some crazy bounces here and there, and some tight throws that weren’t working in my favor. And then your occasional bad interception, which is still happening this year.

In this season, Prescott has a 1.4% interception percentage, which is the second lowest of his career. For comparison, the former Pro Bowl QB had an interception rate of 3.8% last season.

Entering the 2023 season, most people assumed this was Prescott’s last chance to establish himself as one of the best QBs in the league. So far, he has been successful in that goal. However, his performance in the postseason could be the decisive factor regarding his future in Dallas.

Dak Prescott doesn’t worry about critics

The Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott has always been one of the most criticized players in the league. Many believe the star on his helmet is a major reason for some unwarranted criticism. But the veteran signal-caller isn’t worried about his critics.

For me, it’s just about staying true to myself, keep working and not allowing other people’s opinions — critics really — affect my game or the way that I approach this.
Prescott saidWell, in this season, Prescott didn’t have to worry about many negative remarks since he has been showing up on the field. The 30-year-old quarterback has registered 4,237 passing yards and 32 passing touchdowns while completing a whopping 68.4 percent of his pass attempts.

He has also drastically reduced his turnover rate, which held back the Cowboys in previous years. Currently, the Cowboys are preparing for their week 18 game against the Washington Commanders. The Cowboys can win the NFC East title with a victory this Sunday and Prescott would look to get it done at any cost.
