Dallas Cowboys LB Micah Parsons blasted for Dak Prescott takes

The Dallas Cowboys haven’t won a Super Bowl in a good while, but its players remain supremely confident in their chances to win one in the near future.

One such player who has that confidence is Micah Parsons. He has so much confidence in his team that he went to Stephen A. Smith’s podcast to argue about Dak Prescott’s case for MVP.

Unfortunately for him and the rest of the Cowboys’ fans, not everyone shared his sentiments. Some even took the opportunity to take the shine off him as they believed he made a pointless argument.

Get Up hosts Louis Riddick and Mike Greenberg were less than impressed with Parsons’ aggressive conversation with Stephen A. Smith on his own podcast during the show’s Wednesday broadcast.\

Riddick argued that the 24-year-old is wasting his breath defending a QB who isn’t dangerous. The Spun’s Tzvi Machlin writes:

“Ain’t nobody fearing Dak Prescott. They fear Josh Allen. They fear Lamar… They fear Joe for his mind… So when (Micah’s) talking about that kind of stuff, that’s just media stuff,” Riddick said.

Meanwhile, Greenberg was confused as to where the unfounded confidence was coming from when Prescott obviously threw critical interceptions that cost them the Wild Card against the Green Bay Packers:

“What is going on!? … He’s not Shannon Sharpe retired and in the Hall of Fame. Why is he sitting there yelling back and forth with Stephen A.?”

While both hosts made solid points, they cannot deny that Prescott is a talented signal caller. He finished the 2023 NFL season with 4516 passing yards, 36 passing TDs, and nine interceptions in 17 starts. He’s proven time and time again that he can ball with the best of them.

However, Micah Parsons also has to admit that Prescott crashed and burned under the bright lights multiple times in his career. If there’s anyone who has to prove that they are worthy of the MVP nod, it’s Prescott.

It must feel good for Dak that he has such a talented teammate who’s got his back, though.
