Dallas legend Jimmy Johnson predicts the Cowboys to win NFC East division while highly praising Dak Prescott’s ‘MVP caliber’ season

The veteran quarterback Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys are currently preparing for their week 18 game against the Washington Commanders. Prescott and the Cowboys have a chance to clinch the NFC East division on Sunday. Ahead of the matchup, Dallas’ legendary head coach Jimmy Johnson predicts that his former team to win the NFC East title while praising Prescott.
During Fox Sports’ NFL Pregame show on Sunday, the Pro Football Hall of Fame head coach Jimmy Johnson praised both the Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott and wide receiver CeeDee Lamb for their performances in the ongoing season.

Furthermore, Johnson also added that the Dallas-based football team would take care of business on Sunday and would clinch the 22nd Division title in the franchise’s history.

Dak Prescott is currently one of the front runners to win the MVP award, along with Brock Purdy and Lamar Jackson. Prescott has registered 4,237 passing yards and 32 passing touchdowns while completing a whopping 68.4% of his pass attempts. Furthermore, he also reduced his interceptions, which has helped his team a lot in 2023.
Dak Prescott and the Cowboys has an easy way to win NFC East
In the 2023 season, the Cowboys were also behind the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC East division race. But now they have a real shot at winning the division title.

The simple way for the Cowboys to win the NFC East will be for them to win their week 18 game against the Commanders. But, if they lost them, that would make things complicated. If they lose their game, they would have to hope for the Eagles to lose their final regular season game against the New York Giants.

The Cowboys wouldn’t want to leave their fate in the Giants’ hands. So, they would look to win their game by any means possible. If Dallas wins the division title, it would guarantee them at least one home playoff game, which would be a huge bonus for them, considering their poor results in away games this season.
