David Carr AFFIRMS Cowboys fans are most worthy of a Super Bowl due to the emotional rollercoaster they’ve been through in the last few years

Former QB David Carr played in the NFL for 10 years with 4 different teams.

The Dallas Cowboys led by Dak Prescott are knocking on the doors of the Super Bowl for the last couple of years. They were bounced out of the playoffs by the San Francisco 49ers both times in a disappointing season. The Cowboys haven’t won a Super Bowl in almost three decades and the former Houston Texans QB David Carr believes they deserve one soon.

According to NFL.com, the former first-overall pick David Carr selected the Cowboys fans as the most deserving of a Super Bowl ring claiming, “High expectations hover over the Cowboys annually, and no one in that franchise or fan base is shy about the desire to earn a sixth Lombardi Trophy, especially owner Jerry Jones. Lately, Dallas has had the firepower to give itself a chance at its first title in nearly three decades, but major blunders have abruptly ended those aspirations. The constant emotional roller coaster is almost too much to take.”

Winning a Super Bowl is not an easy thing. Every year, millions of fans of all 32 teams follow the entire NFL season with the hopes of seeing their team lifting the Lombardi Trophy when the confetti rains at the end of the season. Most of the Cowboys enjoyed it five times in the past, but the new Cowboys fans haven’t had the winning feeling in the last 28 years.

The Cowboys last won a championship back in 1995. Since then, there are many ups and downs for the Dallas fans. But they are yet to experience the ultimate winning feeling. The former Texans QB Carr believes fans of self-proclaimed America’s Team certainly deserve to live out that experience due to the emotional roller coaster they’ve been through in the last 2 decades.

The Cowboy’s general manager Jerry Jones has done excellent work assembling a talented roster in the off-season. Now, it’s time for their franchise QB to step up and lead their team to a Super Bowl victory.

Even last year, the Cowboys had the talent to win a championship, and they played to their potential for the majority of the 2022 season. However, in the playoffs, Prescott had an abysmal 2-interceptions outing that led to the Cowboys losing to the 49ers and exciting from the postseason.

And now, the Dallas-based franchise has added more talent to its roster in both offense and defense. They lost their star running back Ezekiel Elliott in the off-season, but they still have enough talent to make a championship run.

If Prescott and the Cowboys can avoid the blunders they made in their previous postseason appearances, they certainly have a shot at winning the sixth Super Bowl ring in the franchise’s history.
